The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Program Development Manager, Professional Education in our National Center office located in Dallas, TX. This position can be home based.
This is a full time, benefits eligible, grant funded opportunity. Current funding will expire on June 30, 2028, with the potential of extension.
This position will manage all activities necessary for developing, implementing and maintaining continuing professional medical education programs.

**Responsibilities**
+ Identify and manage program volunteer planning committee by soliciting faculty nominations, inviting members, scheduling planning calls, taking meeting minutes and following up on action items. Oversee development of content and slide sets from the planning committee as well as obtain Science Review on these items.
+ Manage program related vendors including those who handle case-based outcomes surveys, those who develop and host program websites or activities, and those who are responsible for activity production, videos and website design.
+ Manage development of all program materials including attendee resources and speaker information. Ensure these materials comply with the American Heart Association policies and applicable guidelines of accrediting bodies. Collaborate with department members to ensure appropriate marketing efforts are implemented for managed programs.
+ Ensure that all activities that are CME/CE certified for physicians, nurses and pharmacists meet the American Heart Association's accrediting agencies' policies and standards. Implement and maintain appropriate tracking, filing and recording systems to ensure that all required documentation is in place for every activity certified for credit.
+ Establish trusted communication with volunteers and anticipate needs and expectations; work with internal departments to meet department goals and establish the Association as a leader in the field.
+ Management of project timelines, deadline compliance and effective communication and dissemination of both.
+ Manage revenue and budget for established portfolio while identifying potential cost savings and revenue goals.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree preferred
+ Minimum three (3) years of experience managing programs
+ Knowledge of principles and practices of program management
+ Ability to organize and prioritize workflow, establish and meet critical deadlines
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
+ Must have the ability to travel overnight up to 10% of the time

Primary Purpose Of Position
The College of Science and Technology (CoST) at North Carolina A&T State University is seeking an experienced educator to serve as the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education and Academic Affairs. This position will be at the rank of Associate Professor or higher. The position will begin in January 2025 at the latest.
The Associate Dean reports directly to the Dean. The Associate Dean will help advance the Colleges mission of integrating science and technology to advance knowledge and prepare the next generation of science and technology leaders. The College embraces the mission of the University as a land-grant doctoral research institution with a distinction in STEM by expanding new frontiers in science, creating novel technologies, developing innovative approaches to STEM teaching and learning, and formulating scientific and technological solutions that lead to transformative social and economic development.
The Associate Dean is a key member of the Deans senior administrative team. The Associate Dean will assist the Dean in leading initiatives aimed at promoting academic excellence. The Associate Dean is expected to work closely with the department chairs, faculty, students, and staff on matters related to academic affairs, undergraduate education, and their interfaces with students. The Associate Dean will help oversee the academic operations of the college and provide leadership to support program and course development, program review, assessment and enhancement, and accreditation of programs by accrediting organizations such as ABET , ATMAE , and others. The Associate Dean will monitor faculty workload, oversee the faculty teaching evaluation process, and provide academic support and service to the faculty.

N.C. A&T is a public, land-grant, doctoral research institution, and has been the largest historically Black university in the country for the past decade. The developing Master of Physician Assistant (PA) Studies Program at North Carolina A&T State University seeks a Director of Clinical Education. This is a 12-month, non-tenure-track position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor.The Director of Clinical Education oversees and coordinates all aspects of clinical education, including developing and implementing the curriculum and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. They are also responsible for clinical site development, monitoring, and evaluating clinical sites to ensure they provide quality learning experiences for students. The Director of Clinical Education will also train and mentor clinical faculty, providing them with the necessary resources and support to effectively teach and supervise students, assess and evaluate the clinical curriculum's effectiveness, identify improvement areas, and make necessary adjustments. The faculty member in this role will also (i) utilize modern pedagogical skills in curriculum development and instruction to be essential in the areas of course design, course delivery, assessment, and evaluation, (ii) advise and mentor physician assistant students in independent research projects; (iii) provide service to the Department of Physician Assistant Studies, the College and University.
This individual will work closely with and collaborate with faculty, staff, preceptors, and healthcare affiliates. This position reports to the Program Director.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit:

The HCHHS capitalizes on the synergistic relationships between these departments to develop advanced academic programming, enhance the mentoring of trainees, and conduct collaborative multidisciplinary research and scholastic activity. The Department of Physician Assistant Studies is a quickly growing department, and this position will play a role in preparing for accreditation and admissions and facilitating growth and development. The program will help to increase accessibility to medical services for the state's growing population while providing affordable healthcare. The program's faculty will successfully prepare students to become competent Physician Assistants, contributing quality care to the workforce through the delivery of foundational knowledge and essential clinical skills. The Department of Physician Assistant Studies is a supportive community of committed faculty and practitioners whose goals are to introduce students to the ideas and concepts relevant to the discipline of medicine and encourage interdisciplinary learning and team-based care.Requirements:
- Master's Degree from an accredited PA program (doctorate preferred)
- Current NCCPA certification and demonstrated eligibility for licensure in the state of North Carolina
- Minimum of five years experience as a practicing Physician Assistant
- Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written)
- A high degree of organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Strong planning and project management skills
