The Education Specialist oversees the implementation of all aspects of curriculum development. The Education Specialist will be responsible for developing thematic curriculum aligned with the agency's mission and goals. The Education Specialist will also be responsible for writing lesson plans, reviewing all lesson plans, training staff in the unit's thematic curriculum and planning at least three culminating events a year aligned with the theme. Responsibilities
Program Development
- Design and develop educational programs, curricula, and materials aligned with organizational goals and objectives for the Fall, Spring and Summer units for students

- Training and Support: Provide training, coaching, and support to educators, staff, and volunteers to enhance program delivery and impact.

Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an English Language Arts (ELA) Tutor to provide academic support to students from grades 2-12. Under the direction of the Education Director, tutors spend the majority of their time providing individual or small-group tutoring. Additional time may be spent leading Reading or Writing Clubs, working with reading students and test prep for ELA exams. Tutors are responsible for planning their own lessons and finding materials, but the Education Director will support them strongly so that all lessons work toward strong student outcomes. - Create and provide literacy and writing-based lesson plans for tutoring sessions.
