Sodexo is seeking a part-time (24 hours/week - flexible schedule) Registered Dietitian for an **Outpatient Diabetes Education** position at Lehigh Valley Health Network in **Hazleton** (2 days/wk) **and Lehighton** (1 day/wk), **PA** . This is a great opportunity to work with other skilled Diabetes Educators at the AADE accredited Diabetes and Endocrinology Center, where quality patient care is the top priority. CDCES is NOT required; candidates should have a strong interest in diabetes care.

**What You'll Do**
+ Empower clients to achieve life-changing goals who are currently experiencing diabetes
+ Provide individualized education to clients through evidence-based nutrition care in the specialized area of diabetes (80% of the time).
+ Provide education to general medical nutrition therapy patients (20% of the time)
+ Provide insulin pump and glucose monitor training to patients
+ Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to recommend, implement, and monitor nutrition interventions with overall improvement in clinical outcomes
+ Provide professional staff education to ensure the safe management and care of clients and families
+ Participate in quality improvement projects and regulatory compliance within the department

**Qualifications & Requirements**
Minimum Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
