Job Description
As an Electrical Engineer in Boise, Idaho, you'll have a passion for contributing to projects that enable the heart of our clients' manufacturing. Join us and you will have the chance to work on projects including semiconductor cleanroom, laboratories and other state of the art manufacturing and service areas. You'll oversee designer work, provide team technical leadership, perform quality reviews of design packages and assist directly with the more complex portions of the design process. You'll also interact directly with the client, owner, and contractors to assist construction on site. You and the other members of your team will work closely with client owners in a fast paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents.
Your responsibilities will include engineering and design oversight for facility power distribution systems, grounding, lighting, and low voltage communications systems in some of the most complex industrial facilities on the planet. With your solid understanding of all phases of construction document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications, you will prepare technical specifications and documents for bidding and construction and will be our Electrical discipline lead or Quality Control reviewer in project meetings. You will participate in project proposals and will suggest solutions to our clients to problems they didn't even knew they had.

* Bachelor or higher Degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
* Current Professional Engineer (PE) licensure with ability to obtain in State of Idaho
* At least 10 years of experience with building electrical engineering design
* Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC)
* Be well versed in methods to perform voltage drop, arc flash, short circuit current, and load flow calculations, using SKM PTW, EasyPower or similar modeling software
* Be well versed in engineering practices and procedures for specifications and selection of all types of electrical equipment and hardware
* Experience reviewing vendor submittal packages against client requirements and specifications
* Field experience interacting with subcontractors and construction personnel
* Ability to perform site punch walk services
Ideally, you'll also have:
* At least 2 years of experience working with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools, either their manufacture, installation, or use in cleanrooms
* Semiconductor and/or Data Center/Mission Critical facilities electrical design experience
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit or BIM software
* Strong communication skills both verbal and written
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
* Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base

Your Impact
+ Lead and support electrical engineer on design of power generation projects
+ Lead and support electrical engineer on the design of renewable energy projects
+ Lead and support electrical engineer on power plant and switchyard electrical system upgrades
+ Lead and support electrical engineer on federal electrical system upgrades
+ Mentor and teach junior engineers
+ Project proposal and budget development
+ Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
+ Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
+ 3+ years of detailed electrical design engineering experience, including calculations, equipment specifications, etc.
+ 3+ years of relay coordination and schematic design
+ Engineer in Training Certification.
+ CAD, Microsoft Office, and ETAP or SKM software experience
+ Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
+ Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
+ Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Master's Degree in Engineering.
+ Essential Professional Licensure/Certification.
+ Previous experience leading a group of engineers is a plus
+ 3+ years of detailed design engineering experience in generating facilities and/or substations is a plus
+ 3+ years of owners engineering experience in generating facilities and/or substations is a plus

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $73,100 - $125,400
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
