Our summer intern program is tailored to individuals who are currently enrolled full-time students at an accredited four-year college or university. The internships run from May to August - dependent on the school calendar. **Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities**
+ At the end of the internship, the intern is required to give a project assignments presentation to the Site Leadership Team.
+ Support engineers in performance of assignments, both project and day-to-day workings of engineering
+ Provide status updates to mentor/engineer on project assignments
+ Under management supervision, ensure that activities are carried out to comply with the integrated management system, as applicable (safety, food safety, GMP, health, environmental, quality and responsible care requirements).
+ Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives.
+ Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.
+ Assists other employees in accomplishments of Indorama company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

**Education / Experience / Skills Requirements**

**POSITION PURPOSE**
This temporary position provides assistance to the Section Engineers and Compliance Program Supervisor with troubleshooting process conditions; reviewing quality assurance/quality control requirements; and monitoring process conditions to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal specifications and regulations.

+ Assist Section Engineers by taking field readings and measurements for data collection to make design changes or monitor process operations.
+ Utilize software applications to verify designs or develop new designs.
+ Perform technical investigations for equipment such as control valves, instruments, heat exchangers, pressure relief devices, and pumps with direction from the Section Engineers and Compliance Program Supervisor.
+ Develop and issue process engineering design packages to recommend changes to the process while under supervision of the Compliance Program Supervisor.
+ Assist with other company functions, such as DGC Family Night

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Be at least 18 years of age.

As a Chemical Engineer Co-op, you will work closely with the New Johnsonville team gaining valuable experience through hands-on projects in a chemical plant . You will have exposure to real-time engineering work alongside other engineers to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom.

Effective engineering co-ops will have the ability to communicate with impact , have strong self-awareness, and will be naturally inquisitive.

Hours: Regular full-time schedule of 40 hours per week

Preferred First Term: January - May 2026

Candidates must be able to commit to at least a total of six (6) months as a co-op. Two (2) or more terms may be required if one of the terms is a Summer term .
