Summary of Position:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs work related to customer service orders, line locating, and leak survey (where applicable).
Turn gas service on and off, remove meters, and install electronic reader transmitters (ERTs).
Drive and maintain company vehicle. Load, unload, and operate tools and equipment including:

Patrol and maintain pipeline markers.
Complete encroachment investigations as applicable.
Investigate non-contact customer related orders.
Complete and update reports including:
+ Equipment maintenance reports
+ Mileage reports
+ Time sheets
+ GIS Applications
+ Gas Leaks and work logs
Maintain various records including:
+ Orders completed
+ Miles driven
+ Customer information
+ Leak record information and maintenance work orders

Install, program and troubleshoot electronic reader transmitters (ERTs).

Perform and assist with leakage surveys on pipelines as applicable.

**What You Will Need**
Working knowledge and/or training related to disconnects, and gas piping.
Demonstrated ability in use, function, and maintenance of tools applicable to position.
Experience with the application of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Working knowledge of transmission and distribution pipeline system operations.
Working knowledge of leakage survey procedures.

The **Gas Foreman** leads the crew to complete daily tasks related to the installation and repair of natural gas pipelines and/or joint trench utilities for power and telephone in a safe and correct manner. The position oversees ensuring crew safety and productivity, installing and pressure testing both mainline and service line gas pipe, as well as completing routine safety inspections and documentation. This position oversees the Line team and works with customers, senior management, and personnel from other departments.

**Minimum**
+ High school diploma, or equivalent.
+ 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment.
**Preferred**
+ 2 or more years of experience operating heavy equipment.
+ Operator Qualification.
+ DOT Certified Flagger.
+ CDL Class A license.

+ Operate jobsite equipment safely.
+ Perform service, safety checks, and minor repairs on equipment, check oil and fluids.
+ Load trucks in safe and accident-free manner.
+ Observe pipe laying for safety purposes, such as possible cave-ins.
+ Dig around all live utilities, both underground and overhead.
+ Install natural gas pipelines in ditch and provide sufficient backfill.
+ Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
