**Primary Function**
The ideal candidate is a strong visual communicator with the ability to adhere to company guidelines while creating clean, modern designs supporting an array of internal and external corporate communications programs. The candidate must have a strong understanding of design for various mediums, as well as composition, typography, iconography, color, and photography. Our expectation is that the candidate consistently delivers high-quality work and demonstrates an exceptional level of attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative designer who is eager to be part of a team, passionate about design, and a strong communicator.
Contract Duration & Schedule
Timeline: 22-23 weeks (August 2025 - early January 2026)
Coverage: Strictly to cover a maternity leave
Hybrid (Tues-Thurs onsite in Camden, NJ)
Max pay rate: $39/hr.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Design and produce high-quality materials aligned with corporate brand standards
+ Develop and execute creative assets for both print and digital platforms including: annual reports, posters, billboards, table tents, and award show programs
+ Digital signage for TV screens
+ Social media assets
+ PowerPoint presentations
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, internal communications, and executive stakeholders
+ Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
+ Provide motion graphic solutions where appropriate (e.g., animated graphics for digital signage or social platforms)
+ Maintain brand consistency
**Skills & Qualifications**
+ Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
+ Proficiency with Canva
+ Experience with motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects)
+ Strong foundation in traditional print design
+ Knowledge of PMS colors, award show programs, posters, table tents, etc.
+ Experience with digital signage (e.g., TV screens)
+ Experience creating social media graphics
+ Experience designing PowerPoint presentations
+ Strong visual communicator
+ High attention to detail
+ Collaborative and team-oriented
+ Passionate about design
+ Comfortable interfacing with executives and cross-functional teams
**Education & Experience**
+ Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field

**Program Experience**
CSL's Co-op Program is a hands-on experience that showcases the daily innovation and operations of a leading biotechnology company. Our environment is collaborative, global, and purpose-driven. In addition to making an impact, students will be developed personally and professionally while cultivating meaningful relationships.
**Main Responsibilities**
In this role, you will have the opportunity to meet with various internal stakeholders to understand business needs and work on a range of projects using various software programs with opportunities to work collaboratively with the global Medical Affairs team. This role will require organic creativity, attention to detail, the capacity to self-direct and project manage, strong communication skills, and the ability to set expectations and adhere to set deadlines.
+ Creative design creation: In collaboration with the global medical team, develop effective and aesthetically appealing images and designs for various digital and print medical resources that effectively communicate the intended medical "message"
+ Graphic design ability: Working knowledge of design and video tools e.g., Sketch, Figma, or similar software.
+ Collaborate with the global medical team to understand design requirements, conceptualize creative solutions providing multiple solutions for the team.
+ Support scientific resource creation and updates including Medical Science Liaison slide decks, infographics, website materials, Therapeutic Area materials, and Medical Information materials to educate health care professionals
+ Proficiency in graphical representation of data, interactive PowerPoints/PDFs and other creative ways to represent data to educate health care professionals
+ Print production knowledge: Understand print production processes and specifications for the development of print materials
+ Foundational knowledge in UX design, SEO-compliant design principles, and prototyping
+ Quality control: Conduct thorough quality checks and provide updates to the team on images/designs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project expectations and requirements
+ Video production and editing: Working knowledge of creating and editing brief videos for educating, training and medical resource generation

**Qualifications:**
**Educational Background** :
+ Participation in a certified graphic design co-op program
+ A minimum GPA (usually around 3.0 on a 4-point scale).
**Technical Skills** :

  • 1+ year experience in a B2B marketing or content environment.
  • Bachelors Degree in Art, Design, Advertising, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong portfolio that demonstrates conceptual thinking and storytelling across a variety of media.
  • Experience in directing or collaborating on live video production and applying visual identity standards consistently.
  • Excellent project management and time management skills under tight deadlines.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate across departments.

Measurements of Success

  • Deliver creative production jobs in 10 days or less
  • Deliver strategic creative jobs in 30 days or less
