Weyerhaeuser Company is accepting applications for Industrial Electricians for our Idabel, Oklahoma Lumber facility. We are seeking individuals who are committed to safety, have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and a desire to work in a manufacturing facility.
Key Functions:
- Performs highly skilled electrical maintenance tasks including installation and repair of electrical machinery and instrumentation of controls throughout the plant.
- Installation of electrical equipment, motors, starters, variable frequency drives and PLCs in accordance with applicable electrical codes.
- Repair of electrical tools and equipment including power tools and test equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting on AC and DC motors, drives, and control systems. PM as required on other electro-mechanical components (brakes, clutches, solenoids, etc.).
- Calibrate instruments, sensors, chart recorders, etc.
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software associated with all distributed discrete microprocessor-based systems within the plant.
- Follow and adhere to safety lockout procedures and strictly adhere to plant safety rules as well as follow excellent housekeeping practices to help maintain a clean work environment.
- All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Prefer five (5) years of electrical maintenance work experience and/or educational history.
- Full knowledge of electrical codes.
- Must be proficient in the programming, installation, and troubleshooting of all PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controllers).
- Experienced in all phases of plant electrical equipment repair.
- Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives, 3-Phase 480 Volt AC motors and starters, 24 Volt DC and 120 Volt AC control circuits.

Corteva has an exciting opportunity foran Electrician to join our team at ourRushville, Indiana production facility.
The Rushville production location runs various production schedules during peak season, September through March each year. This includes but is not limited to the following: running one to three 8-10-hour shifts (5-6 days per week, with 1-2 days off) rotating shifts with premium shift bonus.
During off-peak months, April through August, the site staggers down to an 8-hour day shift schedule with occasional overtime when needed. This provides a much better work-life balance than other manufacturing roles and opportunities!
What You Will Do:
- Ensure operation of company equipment including electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, control devices, and HVAC, for process and facility
- Perform electrical repairs, service, troubleshooting and scheduled inspections of equipment, following the prescribed guidelines and procedures.
- Review and assist program leaders and teams with the electrical safety program to ensure adherence and compliance.
- Adhere to all quality systems & safety procedures including environmental regulations, OSHA, PSM, and Corteva's safety procedures in everyday work routine.

This position will troubleshoot, repair, replace, maintain electrical/ systems for production related equipment and building utilities within a high-speed metal packaging manufacturing facility. This is an hourly position in high-speed, high-volume manufacturing environment where compliance to all safety policies, procedures and regulations is our way of doing business. Day to day responsibilities will include the following:
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections on production equipment as needed and assigned
- Assist in developing related preventive maintenance that do not currently exist.
- Troubleshoot of circuits as required to repair, adjust, calibrate, replace, modify electrical components and devices of production equipment.
- Knowledge of the requirements and use of Lockout Tagout.
- Knowledgeable of and conform to the requirements of NFPA70E, Arc Flash.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job requirements :
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and knowledge:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance/Industrial electrician in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing of high-speed manufacturing equipment.

- Associate degree in Electronic Engineering or significant experience in PLC and control system troubleshooting
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Troubleshoot limit switches, photo eye and proximity switches
- Proficient in reading ladder diagrams and be able to troubleshoot PLC machines without the aid of a computer
- Trouble shoot, repair and replace faulty electrical components through the use of hand tools and electrical test equipment
- Measure, cut and bend conduit such as rigid EMT, PVC, and IMC utilizing hand tools and benders
- Be able to Set up and troubleshoot drives, showing understanding and ability to change settings
- Troubleshoot PLC on line
- Understand the Hydraulic, pneumatic and vacuum system concepts
- Experience with Microsoft Office

Principal Accountabilities
- Performs work assigned by supervisor
- Identify follow-up work and parts required
- Assist in development and implementation of new systems
- Complete, Sign and return Work Order to Maintenance Supervisor complete with; Work Description, Symptoms, As Found, As Left, Start / Finish time, and Labor
- Hours and Note Deficiencies, Delays, any Job Plan Feedback
- Help promote and communicate Maintenance and Reliability to the Organization
- Other duties include housekeeping, safety training, and meetings
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to work in the US without an humanitarian Parole status related to Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua or Venezuela which is subject to the Federal Register Notice of revocation by DHS on March 25, 2025
- 2 years industrial maintenance experience
- Excellent communication skills (English written, verbal, listening)
- Ensure compliance with all local codes, regulations
