  • The incumbent maintains and leverages detailed functional knowledge of Agency RO and Senior Agency Official for Records Management (SAORM) Department-wide mission, strategies, goals, objectives, frameworks, standards, plans, procedures, and expectations, maintaining constructive two-way communication with the Agency RO concerning Department-wide program performance and-upon consultation with the ERS Director- providing recommendations for improvements to centralized policies, processes or procedures, administrative guidance, and/or performance measures/metrics, as appropriate.

Summary This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Resource Management Flight. This position is Regular Part Time and does include benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for installing, testing, maintaining and upgrading network operations software for fifteen activities.
  • Ensure all equipment is PII compliant.
  • Monitors ongoing operation of network systems to ensure hardware and software are functioning properly and that operational standards are met.
  • Uses established computer techniques to identify and promptly resolve network-related problems within the organization.
  • Troubleshoots hardware, software, and Local Area Network (LAN) problems.
  • Identifies and determines correct action to be taken in case of individual job failures not covered by standard procedures.
  • Resolves partial system failures (software or hardware related) by providing for revised applications of system operating capabilities, which involves working through or around the problems with reduced capacity and readjusting the system when full operating configurations are resolved.
  • Collaborate with external organizations to identify problems with applications, operation systems, or hardware that are difficult to pinpoint.
  • Suggests methods for sequencing and software/hardware configuration to accept new requirements and resolve processing malfunctions.
  • Adapts or develops new work procedures and instructions for applications by self or others.
  • Administers the process to consider user request for additional computer hardware and software.
  • Analyzes processes and/or problems relative to the design of selection of automated systems.
  • Coordinates with other base agencies and contractors to ensure compliance standards are met.
  • Maintains an extensive organizational inventory of computer hardware and software.
  • Assist in the installation and testing of computer upgrades and updates.
  • Make system improvement recommendations.
  • Maintains established applications programs and modifies program contents to provide new data and output when such changes do not modify original programming logic and technique.
  • Reviewer and approver for squadron purchase orders for computer equipment, hardware, software, specifications, and compatibility with current equipment.
  • Disposes of old and outdated systems IAW DoD Standards.
  • Implements security plans, procedures, and training to comply with Wing, Air Force, and DoD Standards.
  • Provide customer training and assistance on new computer systems.
  • Provides technical assistance to current and potential users of system to minimize computer disruptions.
  • Provides support assistance on DLS, Qubica, SETS, Aloha, Foodtrac, Qustodio, QOLNET in response to customer requirements.
  • Serves as the Unit's Cyber Security Liaison (CSL), Information Assurance Officer (IAO) and Computer Support Administrator (CSA).
  • Meets all suspense in a timely manner.
  • Required to travel IAW JTR to attend conferences, training sessions, and other related meetings.

Qualifying Experience: Installing and configuring firewalls (i.e., Cisco, Juniper, McAfee, or equivalent) and network operating systems (i.e., Windows Server, Virtual Machine (VM)ware, Unix, z/OS, or equivalent); experience working with Storage Area, Local Area, and Wide Area networks (i.e., setting up, providing technical support, and/or maintaining networks); experience using database query language (i.e., Structured Query Language-SQL, Data Manipulation Language-DML, or equivalent) to communicate with database management systems.

Note: Experience above should demonstrate these four competencies:

  • Attention to Detail-Such as testing network and gaming systems applying multiple test scenarios and documenting results.
  • Customer Service-Such as providing assistance to both internal and external customers; assessing customers' needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Oral Communication-Such as communicating complex network issues to customers or field technicians in remote locations; providing training to newer field technicians; making recommendations on hardware upgrades.
  • Problem Solving-Such as while monitoring network traffic and patterns documenting network latency problems; then identifying source of problem; develop feasible approaches in resolving the issue.

Condition(s) of Employment:

Successful completion and favorable applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required. This position requires IA certification IAW DoD 8570-01-M within six months from date of hire. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security + certification within twelve months from date of hire. This position may require occasional CONUS travel for official business. Must be physically able to frequently lift, handle and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and with assistance, objects up to and over 50 pounds. "This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use."

Education

About Program & Project Management

AECOM is seeking a Project Information Specialist to work closely with our client as a member of the knowledge management team to support various needs regarding large scale documentation management, document organization, migration and metadata tagging. Preferred location is Omaha, Nebraska, however, candidate will work remotely and can be based anywhere in the United States.

This position is expected to begin in August or September 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • The candidate will work heavily within the client's document management system (AODocs) as well as utilize Google and Microsoft office-based software such as sheets and docs to further manage client needs

  • The candidate will support admin level tasks within the client's DMS which can include:

  • Small to large scale manipulation of metadata fields and tagging documentation

  • Small to large scale Document migrations

  • Small to large scale Content revisions

  • Small to large scale Deprecation

  • Assure the quality of metadata and document content consistency by performing routine reviews and discerning incoming requests.

  • The candidate must be highly organized and able to work within a constantly evolving field

  • The candidate must be able to quickly turn around work and meet deadlines as they arise

  • The candidate must be able to communicate effectively as they will be working directly with the client regularly

  • The candidate must be able to work independently and within a team atmosphere

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
