As an Information Technology Intern, you will work within the Information Technology Solutions organization to support providing the infrastructure that will drive business growth, agility, innovation, process excellence, customer experience & global reach for TI. IT Solutions is strategically positioned to be the engine for TI's growth. IT Security Interns at TI have the opportunity to gain experience through different functions across IT such as:
**Cybersecurity Analysis** : Responsible for analysis of cybersecurity events and the environment to identify current and future risks which could lead to cyberattacks. This role will help to build your expertise in vulnerability analysis, network traffic analysis, risk analysis, incident response, threat modeling, cyber threat intelligence, penetration testing, forensics, security operations, cloud security, data security, malware reverse engineering, security countermeasures, open-source intelligence, and technical writing.
**Cybersecurity Engineering** : Responsible for protecting organizational assets, including infrastructure, networks, hardware devices, applications, and data from cyberattacks. This role will build your expertise in enterprise security, security controls, security testing, security strategies, application security, security requirements analysis, cloud security, data security, network security, secure coding practices, detection engineering, identity and access management, and security countermeasures.

**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering, AI, Machine Learning, and Software Engineering
+ Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher
**Preferred qualifications:**

**About the Role**
Information Technology Interns at Caterpillar perform the same challenging work assignments as our new full-time hires. We work with our teams to ensure that every intern gains the appropriate professional and personal growth necessary to be successful in a corporate environment. This position is a great way to gain hands-on experience by supporting IT operations at a world-leading manufacturing company.
**What You Will Do**
You'll join a team with diverse project responsibilities and have valuable networking opportunities with all levels of Caterpillar employees. The internship is a 40-hour-per-week assignment lasting 12 weeks. You can focus on building professional abilities in roles including (but not limited to):
+ Assist in the development, testing, and implementation of IT solutions.
