TelevisaUnivision 19 Sacramento, California, has an immediate opening for a Multimedia Journalist. A Multimedia Journalist, will be responsible for generating story ideas, as well as making and maintaining contacts with community leaders, government, legislators and city officials. He/she presents weekday and weekend on-air reports for in a clear, concise, objective manner. Must be able to generate enterprising stories and sweeps ideas. The MMJ will be a "one-person band" that will complete a story from onset to end. Must be able to work alone with the camera, to write and edit his/her story, and to interact with the viewers throughout the Univision web page and social media.
You will report to the Regional News Director
YOUR DAY-DAY:
- Gather information, conduct interviews, shoot video, write, edit and report assigned stories daily.
- Present stories live on-air, online and/or mobile in a fair, accurate and unbiased manner.
- Generate video, images and/or information for our digital and social media platforms.
- Develop and maintain a network of news sources providing access to exclusive local stories.
- Maintain strong familiarity with local, national and international news and issues of the day.
- Communicate with news producers, assignment editors and managers regarding story development, progress in the field and/or breaking news stories.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a collaborative manner that works well with co-workers, supervisors and the community at large.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Establish and maintain news contacts and relationships with the community that will translate into news stories.
- Maintain strong familiarity with local, national and international news and issues of the day.
YOU HAVE:
- Candidate must be completely fluent in English/Spanish, with superior written/spoken Spanish language skills.
- Minimum (2) years of experience as a television reporter
- Bachelor's Degree in Journalism or related field, or equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Proven track record of strong writing, storytelling and live reporting skills.
- Must be able to use newsroom computer systems/applications (hardware/software). Knowledge of iNews required.
- Candidate must have functional to advanced knowledge in the use of field cameras, gear and editing systems.
- Candidate must be able to make sound decisions while working under extreme deadlines and must have the ability to follow directions and incorporate constructive criticism into work results.
- Must have the ability and flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to drive and have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

NewsRadio 1080 KRLD, Dallas-Fort Worth and Texas State Networks is looking for its next full-time Multimedia Journalist. The ideal candidate is an upbeat, positive, and motivated news junkie who thrives in a fast-paced environment where content is driven by audience demands, breaking news, severe weather, and coverage of major traffic incidents.
In this unique and exciting role as a multimedia journalist, you will serve as an editor, anchor, reporter, digital and social content creator for NewsRadio 1080 KRLD's multiple distribution platforms, including Texas State Networks. The skills utilized may be different each day, based on staffing, content, and audience demands.
This full-time position would include a Monday through Friday schedule and may include on-call duties as needed.
**Responsibilities**
**What You'll Do:**
+ Stay up to date on current affairs and content planning for the day/week.
+ Gather, write, record, edit and deliver news, traffic & weather content, including live coverage from the studio or from the field on KRLD, Texas State Networks, or associated distribution platforms.
+ Identify great audio, write and edit urgent and compelling copy for stories.
+ Assemble/stack, and edit newscasts delivered by another anchor and/or by you, free of any political or social biases.
+ Anchor multi-hour news shifts on KRLD and/or Texas State Networks.
+ Interview newsmakers and news reactors, including the general public.
+ Development and research of potential news stories, using all newsroom resources, including non-traditional and social media, to identify potential news stories relevant to KRLD's strategy and target audience.
+ Organize, develop, and coordinate assignments with reporters during hours associated with Editing.
+ Communicate and coordinate with KRLD meteorologist and/or traffic teams during changing weather conditions, severe weather, and significant traffic incidents.
+ Creatively pursue new ways of presenting stories so that they have the most impact on the audience.
+ Contribute to team editorial meetings with story ideas.
+ Learn, understand, and be able to follow and implement KRLD strategy and Audacy policy and procedures.
+ Alert management to content that is questionable or that may be in violation of FCC, corporate or station policies and regulations.

**Qualifications**
**Required:**
+ Have a passion for the process of news and news story development.
+ Understanding of newsroom ethical and legal guidelines and restrictions that govern broadcast media.
+ Excellent editorial judgment and deep understanding of current events, politics and news.
+ Keen awareness of the current socio-political landscape, and the ability to separate personal political and social views from influencing story selection and presentation.
+ Contemporary sound and excellent on-air delivery and storytelling skills.

+ Understanding of target demographics, and target topics/beats for news coverage.

CoStar is seeking an experienced Visual Information Journalist to help illustrate CoStar's biggest news stories and also deliver stand-alone infographic data analysis of the latest industry trends, including for Homes.com. This position is both technical and research/journalistic: working closely with and reporting to the creative director, news, you will collaborate and coordinate coverage with news editors, analysts, and developers to pitch story ideas, and enrich articles with interactive features delivering innovative web experiences.
In addition to your coding skills, we are looking for interest in diverse news areas, including the building industry, technology, legislation, housing issues, health care, economics, retail trends and the environment. You might be asked to use data to map areas affected by extreme weather, to illustrate retail trends, or the popularity of cities using data from CoStar analysis and elsewhere. **RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Source data from internal and external sources and/or work directly with analysts to develop story ideas and create engaging, explanatory, easily absorbed data visualizations based on reporting and research.

+ Take stories from pitch to publication assist other team members with data research for graphics such as generating maps
