**Job Summary**

+ Validate and approve audit reports submitted through SMW (Supplier Management Website) and DMW (Distribution Management Website).
+ Provide guidance on restaurant design and kitchen setup to maximize food safety.
+ Implement FSCC (Food Safety Compliance Check) audit protocols for all restaurants.
+ Develop and run product evaluations quarterly for Class A & B suppliers, validating food quality and safety via store visits and calibrated kitchen tests.
+ Monitor industry trends and regulations, proactively adapting programs to maintain leadership in compliance and safety.
Training, Crisis, & Communication:
+ Act as the main FSQA point of contact for interaction with all vendors to ensure best practices are shared and execute Regional trainings to build know how across the Region.
+ Act as the main FSQA point of contact for interaction with local regulatory agencies and health departments and establish a confident relationship. Periodically meet with key local associations, councils, and other decision or policy influencing organizations to monitor trends and anticipate threats in the markets.

Is This You?
+ Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline required.
+ Experience: 5-7 years in food industry, including food safety, QA, or related field. Hands-on experience in food manufacturing including overall understanding of production facilities, quality improvement methods, and product development requirements. Experience in Quality Systems, specifications, microbiology, crisis management, risk management, food safety guidelines and regulations.
+ Certifications: HACCP certified required; additional certifications in SPC, Six Sigma, or Quality Auditing preferred.

**Summary:** Prepares, presents and serves food in a fast-food/casual setting.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Greets guests promptly and warmly.
+ Takes food orders and efficiently relays them to back-of-the-house staff.
+ Demonstrates a complete understanding of all menu items and ingredients.
+ Communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and all special requests are addressed and accommodated.
+ Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Relays relevant information to supervisor.
+ Cooks fast-food items in compliance with all safety and safe food handling standards.
+ Performs light cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping, to maintain sanitation and safety standards.
+ Keeps equipment, work area and facilities clean and in order.
+ Performs sales transactions in a reasonable and timely fashion. Rings all items sold and obtains customer signature.
+ Responsible for all assigned change, funds and cash receipts ensuring that cash drawer is in compliance.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Title: Lead Cook

Reports to: Kitchen Manager(s) and Chef(s)

Responsibilities

  • Perform the steps of SSA EXTRA Guest Service to ensure a memorable experience for every guest and client.
  • Work closely with Kitchen Manager(s) and Chef(s) to ensure the restaurant prep (BOH and line) are completed for daily operation.
  • Meet daily quick service, food service, safety and quality, availability, merchandising and guest service standards.
  • Ensure proper food quantities are set for daily and ongoing service.
  • Participate in safety logs including food temperatures, rotation and waste as necessary.
  • Ensure safe food handling is maintained.
  • Ensure proper uniform, hygiene, hand-washing and glove use with self.
  • Maintain a SSAfe work environment by abiding to all SSAFETY rules.
  • Follow through daily prep and items lists, as assigned.
  • Actively help to support operation in assigned role, supporting holes as necessary.
  • Actively and efficiently respond to guest and client feedback, with report to the supervisor to ensure that any potential complaints are mitigate against further occurrence.
  • Communicate up to the Restaurant Supervisor and/or Food Operations Manager in regard to any issues seen with daily service or quality.
  • Remain knowledgeable of all menu items, prices and specials for sharing with guests.
  • Assist with dishwashing as necessary.
  • Perform other tasks as deemed necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.
  • Uphold and demonstrate a complete understanding of company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional problem solving/decision making skills combined with the ability to be organized.
  • Demonstrates the ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ideal candidate is a team player, personable, professional, upbeat and energetic, and takes initiative.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes (10-35lbs) as necessary to operation, which entails lifting, and perform all functions as set forth above.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
