Compensation:

This position is hourly. Pay starts at $0.65/hour with three raises in 12 months bringing your pay to 21.85/hour
  • + 1/hour for powered industrial equipment (PIE) operators
  • 1/hour for working overnight shift

We're hiring Warehouse Associates across multiple shifts with full-time positions available! You'll report to a DC Supervisor or Process Manager and have regular interaction with other team members.

Day shift: Monday - Friday 9:00am to Done, 9:30am to Done, 10:00am to Done

You Will
  • Safely complete inbound and/or outbound warehouse tasks with strong attention to detail. For example, unloading, sorting, labeling, replenishing, auditing, and packing products
  • Ensure products are shipped correctly to exceed customers' expectations for quality and delivery speed
  • Meet safety, quality, productivity, behavior, attendance, and overtime requirements as needed
  • Operate computerized scanning equipment and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA and Hazardous Material requirements
  • Perform other tasks as directed by leadership
You Have
  • Comfort working on your feet with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and dust while working around moving equipment and elevated stations
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to frequently lift, slide and lower packages up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to receive feedback and work well in a team environment
  • For PIE operators: ability to operate warehouse vehicles, material handling equipment and powered industrial equipment, including Crown, Pacer, Reach Truck, Order Picker, Barrett and Turret Truck
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous warehouse, retail, or customer service experience in fast-paced environments

**Principal Accountabilities**
+ Checking raw materials for quality
+ Scanning in combos to the line
+ Driving a forklift to manage inventory of raw materials
+ Notifying FSQR and Lead when foreign objects are found
+ Maintaining a safe working environment
**Required Qualifications**
+ Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
+ Must be able to read and write English
+ Must be 18 years or older
+ Must have a valid driver's license
+ Must be able to work in the US without an humanitarian Parole status related to Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua or Venezuela which is subject to the Federal Register Notice of revocation by DHS on March 25, 2025
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Previous inventory or forklift experience
+ Basic experience with basic handheld scanner
+ Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
+ Previous Cargill experience
+ Work history in the last 12 months

Position Snapshot

A Material Handler is expected to work safely when moving raw and finished materials in shipping areas using required equipment such as a diesel forklift tractor, and overhead lifting crane. It is the Material Handler's responsibility to be part of our safety culture by wearing the proper personal protective equipment, asking for assistance if needed, reporting all issues with materials and equipment, and staying safe. The Material handler needs to follow all company policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role you will:
  • Knowledge of safety equipment and safety procedures for shipping/receiving operations
  • Visually check the quality of the finished product
  • Loads and bands material as required
  • Cycle counts material and makes sub-inventory transfers in the computer system
  • Handles other duties as assigned within the shipping department
  • Always maintains good housekeeping/neat work area
  • Loads unloads, and bands material as required
  • Stores material in proper locations
  • Stages rod at the appropriate door for the production machines
  • Expected to be forklift and crane certified
Requirements and Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to complete simple forms and understand simple written instructions.
  • Ability to perform simple arithmetic skills involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
  • An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable.
