Job Description: Distribute merchandise onto pallets in accordance with store allocation information from the daily split sheets in a manner that meets company established standards in safety, quality and productivity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurately complete and submit daily productivity sheets.
- Perform all splitting functions in an accurate, productive, and safe manner.
- Assign and remove pallets in and out of split lines, using a radio frequency (RF) scanning device.
- Build shippable pallets by operating a pallet jack, walkie talkies (40 and 60 channels), and wrapping machine.
- Distinguish different types of merchandise by verifying case pack and description.
- Transport pallets to Shipping, placing them in proper store lanes, and follow all audit-control procedures.
- Inspect and sign out equipment on a daily basis.
- Maintain compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and OSHA requirements.
- Maintain a neat, orderly, and clean work area to meet or exceed area safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- English speaking, reading, and comprehension skills; bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Ability to learn to use a RF scanner.
- Ability to satisfactorily complete the Powered Equipment Training Program and attainment of license.
- Ability to satisfactorily complete the Splitting Area Training Program and pass the Splitting Area proficiency test.
- Ability to operate powered industrial equipment and achieve any applicable license.

- Work primarily in a distribution center environment. The DC warehouse environment is characterized by temperature extremes, noise, movement of conveyors and equipment, and other conditions associated with the operation of a high volume distribution center.
- Should be able to lift and move 50 lbs of material on a regular basis.
- Should be able to bend, lift, stretch, and reach both below the waist and above the head.
- Works primarily in a DC environment. Must be able to remain stationary and/or continually move for up to 10 - 12 hours per day.

Job Description
Schedule: Monday - Friday 6am - 4pm
The Material Handler operates and controls packaging equipment, provides forklift support to operations, ensures packaging area is maintained and replenishes raw materials.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Uses pick ticket to palletize, wrap and band orders for shipment to customers. li>Routes shipments using Transportation Management System.
- Prepares and print bills of lading.
- Contact carrier to arrange for shipment pick up
- Loads outgoing deliveries.
- Enters completed shipments into computer and file paperwork to insure timely and accurate inventory records.
- Take calls from freight carriers to schedule deliveries, provide directions to facility.
- Follows company policies and procedures
- Supervise the Unloading of Liquid tankers into the tank system
- Set up, direct and supervise tankers in accordance with safety plan • < i>Daily inventories of tanks and existing capacities • < i>Full understanding of Hazardous communication and RCRA training
- Work outdoors on a regular basis
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- Basic math skills
- Able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly
- Able to stand and walk 80% of the time
- Basic computer skills
- Able to speak, read and write English
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Climbing ladders to check levels in tanks
