PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Maintain a safe environment for patients/customers, team members and yourself.
- Ensure the correct procedure is performed on the correct patient by verifying two forms of patient identification on "Every Patient / Every Time".
- Perform "time out" process prior to starting any invasive procedure.
- Adhere to MRI Safety policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Knowledge regarding location of emergency equipment/supplies and how to use such equipment/supplies.
- Familiar with the Health First Emergency Kardex and responsibilities in relation to specified emergent codes.
- Responsible for hurricane preparedness and your duties as a Health First associate.

- Properly position patients and uses appropriate technique.
- Assure that exam rooms are clean, neat, stocked and disinfected; and that equipment is clean, disinfected and ready for the next patient encounter.
- Follow proper image retrieval and file processes.
- Participate in quality initiatives and offer suggestions for departmental improvements including departmental protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Accept additional responsibilities to assist with reaching departmental goals/initiatives.
- Attend staff meetings/in-services as required. Reads and signs off on all staff meeting minutes as required.
- Properly identifies, prepares and/or administers medications that are within the technologist's scope of practice as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Certified and Registered in Radiography or Radiation Therapy by the ARRT - must maintain certification and registration at all time or

Job Description
Pali Momi Medical Center has West O'ahu's first permanent MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scanner, which offers residents the most advanced diagnostic imaging right in their own community. Our state-of-the-art system and experienced MRI team provide physicians with a powerful diagnostic tool, and make Pali Momi an excellent choice for MRI services. Pali Momi's MRI suite was designed to help patients feel at ease and includes a special sound system to create a relaxing atmosphere during the procedure, as well as a short and spacious scanning chamber.
As the MRI Technologist, your skill and careful attention will help to ensure that the Imaging Services at Pali Momi provide quality diagnostic services and care for our patients and their families. In this role, you will be performing diagnostic radiographic angiography procedures on patients. We are looking for someone with sensitive patient care skills, an appreciation for technical procedure and protocol and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

**Minimum Qualifications:** Current Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license OR Registered MRI Technologist (RT)(MR) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.
**Preferred Qualifications:** One (1) year MRI Technologist or related experience.
