Chemours is seeking a Chemical Engineer Co-op to join our Manufacturing Technology team! This position will report directly to the Corpus Christi site Co-op Coordinator.
As a Chemical Engineer Co-op, you will work closely with the manufacturing technology team gaining valuable experience through hands-on projects in a chemical plant. You will have exposure to real-time engineering work alongside other engineers to apply what you've learned in the classroom.
Effective engineering co-ops will have the ability to communicate with impact, have strong self-awareness, and will be naturally inquisitive.

Hours: Regular full-time schedule of 40 hours per week
Preferred First Term: August-December 2025

+ This level of knowledge is typically achieved through a formal education in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, nuclear engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field at the PhD degree level with zero to three years of experience or equivalent in the scientific application of this knowledge and practical laboratory experience.

We are hiring a hands-on, detail-driven Research Engineer with a strong background in chemical engineering, polymer chemistry, or materials science. This role combines wet-lab experimentation, 3D CAD design, and prototyping—ideal for engineers who thrive at the intersection of science, technology, and global impact.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct lab-based research on polymer materials and sorbents for water harvesting
Design mechanical components using SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Onshape
Assist with prototype fabrication and testing (3D printing experience is a plus)
Maintain detailed lab records and project documentation
Track project deliverables using MS Project, Jira, Asana, or Monday.com
