Healthcare and finance experience is preferred.

**Role Purpose**
Manages and sets priorities for programs and portfolios consisting of multiple or large projects including subprojects and project teams in order to achieve engagement goals and reach successful business outcomes. **Responsibilities**

+ Provides information and advice to sponsors and stakeholders in the selection and prioritization of projects and operational work for inclusion in a program/portfolio.

What You'll Do:

Project Management
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget including logistical plans, client correspondence, project execution, field and reporting deadlines, invoicing, and AR follow-up for assigned projects.
  • Effectively communicate project status and milestone achievement with project team, Division Management, Company Management and client. Lead project scoping discussions with Clients, facilitate and/or lead technical discussions with Clients.
  • Preparing and/or leading proposal efforts, including budgeting and evaluating staffing requirements.
  • Oversight of the project from beginning to end including scope development in alignment with proposal, schedule, reporting, communication and financials.
  • Communicate project plan, preparation and logistics with project team.
  • Collaborate on schedules, analysis, project deliverables, and best practices with other Project Managers.
  • Ensure all Job Hazard Analysis and company Safety Management requirements are met during execution of the project.
  • Supervise performance of all work to ensure it meets company quality control expectations.
  • Ensure financial controls are in place prior to project kick-off, in alignment with the approved proposed budget and client expectations.
  • During execution, ensure project financial performance goals are met utilizing company financial management system.
  • Prepare and/or oversee development of deliverables to client.
  • Ensure all project completion and closeout documentation is compiled and submitted meeting client expectations.
  • Prepare and submit all project related documentation including specifications, reporting and proposals with minimal supervisor guidance.
  • Work in unison with all company project managers to schedule field and report/analysis activities.
  • Work with business development team to support active sales initiatives.
  • Delegating tasks using a coaching relationship for supervising the technical work of project staff.
  • Actively contribute to internal technical and project delivery training.
  • Assist with training, mentoring, and managing of junior staff.
  • Support the Division Manager in all aspects while ensuring business continuity, growth initiatives, quality and safety standards, and staff development.
Project Execution
  • Coordinate with production and field crews ensuring they are following BDI standards including but not limited to system design; AutoCAD drawings, verifying against project specifications, and project close out.
  • Ensure staff receive proper training.
  • Enforce all company safety standards, working with the company's safety director.
  • Manage staff that are working in a variety of conditions including heights, overnight shifts, and in all types of weather conditions.
  • Be available to provide direct field support as required to ensure project outcome.
  • Support personnel management when required.
The Program Manager position includes the above responsibilities across an entire Program for a variety of BDI's key clients.

  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and customers.
  • Ensures contract requirements and subcontractor responsibilities are being accomplished, including working on the definition and implementation of project planning techniques to provide visibility on the contract.
  • Plan, track and manage project schedules, tasks, and actions adhering to FPI project management methodology by ensuring that recognized project management processes, discipline and controls are consistently applied to projects. Proactively negotiate and issue additional project documentation as agreed to by the Project Sponsor with input from involved stakeholders.
  • Manage a project team that consists of a variety of resources assigned (i.e., subject matter experts, business analyst, IT resources etc.) across all impacted stakeholder groups in a matrix environment.
  • Create and manage all communication to key stakeholders, including the Project Sponsor and Business Product Manager, and ensure they are aware of significant changes to the project status promptly.
  • Identify and investigate all project dependencies and risks, ensuring effective mitigation and contingency plans are in place, escalating where needed.
  • Identify and champion opportunities for quality and process improvement resulting in improved efficiency, increased productivity, and high customer satisfaction. Enhances project management life cycle framework and process as well as quality standards.
  • Establishes and reviews objectives, coordinates all activities across projects, and oversees the integration and reuse of interim work products and results.
  • Provides and interprets policies, creating an environment that fosters sustainable momentum for the program, and reviews program progress and interim results to ensure alignment with the overall strategic vision.
  • Reviews/approves project plans for conformance to program strategy and program plan and schedule.
  • Provides communications to executive sponsors and steering committee through briefings/status updates.
  • Develops budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements for an assigned portion of a program.
  • Establishes and defines program plan requirements.
  • Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

  • Provide guidance and mentoring to Project Managers and other program managers.
Requirements

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of Senior Project Management experience, PMP Certification and 4-6 years of previous experience as a Program Manager required.
  • Proven track record of managing large program end-to-end delivery to time, cost, and quality.
  • In-depth knowledge and proven application of Program and Project Management methodologies and full project lifecycle including documentation standards, risk, issue, assumption, and dependency management and change controls process.
  • Familiarity with process modeling, workshop facilitation and business analysis.
  • Proven track record coaching and mentoring less experienced Program Managers and Project Managers. Ability to create and foster a cohesive team and promote a positive work environment for all employees.
  • Experienced change agent, able to guide cross-functional teams through complex change from concept to execution.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain an elevated level of customer trust and confidence.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience. Demonstrated ability to persuade, encourage and motivate team members.
  • Self-motivated and results oriented; able to manage multiple competing priorities and tasks effectively; able to work effectively with hard deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, problem solving and analytical skills. Detail oriented.
  • Ability to understand and support corporate objectives, possess strong business acumen.
  • Ability to think strategically across the enterprise and possess strong business acumen.
  • Proven ability to stay focused under pressure, demonstrating resilience in challenging situations
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to cope with rapid change

  • Good judgment- ability to determine which issues to escalate vs. to resolve independently, and provide suggestions for resolution

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 10 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to occasionally travel as required.
  • Ability to type and utilize various software programs efficiently and operate general office equipment.
  • Ability to work in an office setting with moderate noise levels.
  • Additional physical demands include, but may not be limited to, frequent talking or hearing, occasional push/pull, stoop/kneel, bend/twist, and reach to retrieve or move items in a typical office environment.
  • Must be able to work scheduled hours and overtime as needed.

    • This role has been designated as a Hybrid role, which gives employees the opportunity to work from home on Mondays and Fridays and working in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
