**What you'll do:**
This is the entry point for a career in project management. Primary responsibility is to assist a project manager or managers to successfully coordinate a project using the necessary engineering, labor, equipment, materials, tools, and subcontracted services. This position requires the development of skills in estimating, scheduling and design to better understand the coordination of the design-build construction process.

**What you'll need to be successful:**
+ Basic skills that will include inquiring, reviewing and printing job cost reports, labor feedback entry and purchase order entry.
+ Basic knowledge of HVAC design to include types of equipment utilized in the industry as well as general understanding of system operations (i.e. variable air, constant volume, refrigeration cycle.)
+ Ability to read mechanical and plumbing drawings and identify work installed to track labor feedback accurately.
+ Ability to prepare equipment delivery log and track status of these orders.
+ Competent with general business writing and public speaking.
+ Has competency in basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office products.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers to procure, manage and update the submittal process.
+ Ability to communicate with field foremen to write and track RFI's both internally with our design department and externally with the architect or other designers
+ Ability to read and interpret technical documentation including CAD drawings, Blueprints, Submittals, etc.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to be part of an engineering team engaged in engineering design projects in the Government market including mission-critical infrastructure design to include power delivery, power generation, power distribution, backup power, UPS, system studies, renewable energy, MEP design, and related projects.
Strong team leadership, mentoring, excellent communication skills, presentation skills, motivation, positive attitude, and ability to work on multiple projects concurrently will be core skills for the successful candidate. Our Department is growing and the successful applicant will play an important role in the development of a sustainable electrical department with staff filling roles at all experience levels. The applicant will interface directly with internal and external clients and will demonstrate a proven ability to drive projects to successful completion within budget and schedule constraints.
Responsibilities include leading design teams including sub-consultants and working with federal clients on energy and infrastructure projects. The Project Engineer will be challenged with working on multiple large and small projects simultaneously.
The successful candidate must have a deeply technical engineering skill set and experience leading design teams and interface with federal clients. The position requires candidates who are licensed professional engineers in electrical or mechanical engineering.

**Required Education/Experience**
+ BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University
+ Professional Engineering License with the ability to be licensed in multiple states
+ Seven (7) years of applicable experience leading technical design teams on federal government projects
+ Specific projects should be with NAVFAC or USACE
+ Demonstrated experience with the successful execution of design-build (DB) and design-bid-build (DBB) interdisciplinary design projects for US Government clients

**Job Description:**
The Project Engineer is a technical resource for the Project Services and Sales. This role is responsible for actively driving and leading the technology/technical evaluation stage of the Pre-bid of initial customer process as well as supporting any delivery team members during project execution or customer interactions. The Project Engineer must also be able to develop good working relationships with domain experts within the organization!
**As A Project Engineer, You Will:**
+ Work with Sales to understand and quantify customer requirements, including participation in pre-sales meetings and development of appropriate solutions.

+ Research options and request quotes for outsourced components or custom products as needed.
+ Support Applications Engineering in developing detailed low-level solutions and required documentation such as installation guides, training materials, Remote Commissioning templates, and submittals.
+ Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; assist in technical studies and cost estimate preparation.
+ Provide technical support during pilot implementation, assist with troubleshooting, and contribute to training field resources and preparing support documentation.
+ Coordinate assigned engineering projects, maintain documentation and tools for Project Services, log applications and opportunities, and ensure ongoing product knowledge and continuous improvement.

**Overview**
Tanaq Environmental, LLC. (Tanaq) delivers environmental engineering, investigation, consulting, and remediation services to local, state, and federal agencies in the areas of hazardous & toxic waste restoration, environmental compliance, emerging contaminants, and military munitions site management. Tanaq is a subsidiary of the St. George Tanaq Corporation, an Alaskan Native Corporation (ANC) committed to serving Federal customers while also giving back to the Alaskan native community and shareholders.
**Position Summary**
We are seeking a **Project Engineer / Geologist I** to support environmental restoration and compliance projects for the United States Government and commercial clients. This position will support remedial investigation, remedial design, and remedial actions for contaminated sites located throughout the United States. The job requires an understanding of environmental investigation and remediation concepts and the ability to ensure performance of work is completed in accordance with environmental regulatory and contractual requirements. The job may also require oversight of subcontractors and/or in-house field crews conducting site investigations and remediation of soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment at PFAS, petroleum- and hazardous-waste sites.
This is a hybrid remote work role that can be based anywhere in the United States and requires an estimated 60% annual travel within the United States, depending on project requirements.
**Responsibilities**
+ Leads environmental compliance and/or remediation projects, including preparation of planning documents, reports, designs, and contract documents.
+ Directs teams of engineers, geologists, and/or scientists conducting environmental restoration project support.
+ Completes investigations and remedial processes to address emerging contaminants (PFAS), petroleum, or hazardous waste sites.
+ Provides oversight and supervision of environmental cleanup contractors.
+ Prepares subcontractor scopes of work and specifications.
+ Solicits, evaluates, and procures subcontractors for investigation or remediation projects.
+ Evaluates contractor performance in accordance with the approved plans.
+ Coordinates and interacts with homeowners and the public in support of government clients.

Requirements
**Required Experience and Skills**
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

+ Prior experience working on environmental restoration projects is preferred.

POWER Engineers is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to work as a Renewable High Voltage Project Engineer in the Power Delivery Renewable Business Unit. This position will report to our Billings, MT, Salt Lake City, UT, Boise, ID or our Denver, CO office. Responsibilities:
+ Assist Project Managers in bid evaluation and project planning.
+ Lead design team from conceptual phase through completion and act as an Engineer-of-Record for large complex substation and gen-tie projects.
+ Participate in preparing technical proposal including scope, schedule, and budget.
+ Act as a technical liaison with clients, contractors, and vendors.
+ Provide engineering support during construction including field inspections and witness tests.

**Required Education/Experience:**
+ BS in Electrical Engineering, BS in Renewable Energy Engineering , BS in Civil Engineering and/or BS Mechanical Engineering degree, from an accredited university preferably with a power option.
+ Professional Engineering license (PE), or eligible to obtain PE.
+ Experience in 15kV through 500kV substation design and IEEE/ANSI standards.
+ Experience in managing 3-5 people on a project team.
+ Experience filling the role of project engineer for several projects occurring concurrently.
+ The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel.
