This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to be part of an engineering team engaged in engineering design projects in the Government market including mission-critical infrastructure design to include power delivery, power generation, power distribution, backup power, UPS, system studies, renewable energy, MEP design, and related projects.

Responsibilities include leading design teams including sub-consultants and working with federal clients on energy and infrastructure projects. The Project Engineer will be challenged with working on multiple large and small projects simultaneously.
The successful candidate must have a deeply technical engineering skill set and experience leading design teams and interface with federal clients. The position requires candidates who are licensed professional engineers in electrical or mechanical engineering.

**Required Education/Experience**
+ BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University
+ Professional Engineering License with the ability to be licensed in multiple states
+ Seven (7) years of applicable experience leading technical design teams on federal government projects
+ Specific projects should be with NAVFAC or USACE

**Position Summary**
We are seeking a **Project Engineer / Geologist I** to support environmental restoration and compliance projects for the United States Government and commercial clients. This position will support remedial investigation, remedial design, and remedial actions for contaminated sites located throughout the United States. The job requires an understanding of environmental investigation and remediation concepts and the ability to ensure performance of work is completed in accordance with environmental regulatory and contractual requirements. **Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities**
POWER Engineers, member of WSP, Generation Division is seeking a Senior Project Engineer who will be responsible for the technical oversight and to ensure our quality control processes are followed for our power generation projects. The qualified candidate will be based in one of our offices located in Atlanta, GA; Boise, ID; Hailey, ID; Overland Park, KS; Mount Laurel, NJ; or Oradell, NJ. A hybrid schedule will be offered, providing you the opportunity to work from both the office and the comfort of your own home. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Managing large Generation Projects for multiple disciplines
+ Managing support services as the Project Engineer including scheduling, estimating, and procurement for multi-discipline projects
+ Assisting in developing the project proposal and budget
+ Managing all financial and technical aspects of performance for the project
+ Building and maintaining client relationships
+ Collaborating with our Business Development team and assisting business development efforts for multiple projects
+ Coordinating with production departments for projects, project staffing, and project processes
+ Occasional travel will be required
**Required Education/Experience**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering
+ 15 years of Project Engineering experience in renewables, heavy industrial, and/or Generating Facilities
+ Experience in a wide range of power plant technologies is valued including biomass, municipal waste, geothermal, hydrogen production and applications, carbon capture, BESS, hydro, wind, solar, gas-fired, and/or coal. Subject matter proficiency is required in one or many of these areas.
+ Capacity to effectively lead and oversee intricate projects is required
+ Experience managing a project team or a department
+ Experience filling the role of Project Engineer for several small/medium projects occurring concurrently
+ Possess a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with internal team members and external client personnel
+ Commitment to high-quality work and maintaining the professional reputation and client relationships that bring repeat business
**Desired Education/Experience**
+ Licensed Engineer
+ Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

**Responsibilities**
+ With regard to that portion of the work assigned, develop complete understanding of contract plans and specifications.
+ Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed.
+ Inspect subordinates' work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed.
+ Develop and maintain the project master schedule using appropriate techniques and scheduling software with input from other project management personnel.
+ Manage document control; receive and log in new issue drawings and other contract documents; maintain document control log.
+ Review new issue drawings and contract documents for change of conditions; quantify impact of changes and review with supervisor; distribute new issues to field.
+ Prepare monthly cost projections using information generated from project management systems and prepare quarterly cash flow projections.
+ Improve project operations by recommending, as appropriate, better methods, staffing and procedural changes.
+ Act as managing project engineer/coordinator on multiple projects, providing supervision and on-the-job training for lower level engineers.
+ Read and understand plans and specifications. Visualize two-dimensional drawings in three dimensions.
+ Manage and support project team including direct reports and others as needed
+ Help drive the company environmental health and safety programs at the project level, driving a safety-oriented approach to work.

**Qualifications**
+ Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering or equivalent
+ 5-10+ years' work experience in construction or engineering
+ Experience managing engineers
+ Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
