**Your New Role.**
CNN is seeking a news desk reporter/writer to join the nerve center of the Washington newsroom. The ideal candidate is someone who embraces the challenge of multi-tasking in a fast-paced news environment.

+ Reports, researches, writes and owns all stages of assigned stories from brief initial network alerts to fully formed published stories and everything in between across all platforms.

**What We Need:**
We're seeking a seasoned radio news anchor with excellent writing skills, clear and conversational delivery, and a strong interest in local and state news.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Deliver radio newscasts.
+ Write news stories for multiple markets.
+ Maintain deadlines to provide news stories in a timely fashion.
+ Write clear and concise news copy.
+ Produce, edit and write content for 24/7 Newswire.
+ Gather audio from press conferences, live events and partner TV stations.
+ Monitor sources for breaking news (wires and social media).
+ Finalize content using digital audio editing software.
+ Must have general knowledge of all current events including but not limited to political, entertainment, sports and finance.
+ Repackage content from producers and field reporters for newscasts.
+ May be called on to anchor or report as needed.

**What You'll Need:**
