Job Description
Resort Housekeepers are responsible for regularly cleaning resort facilities, buildings and rental properties to ensure the resort remains presentable and sanitary at all times.
JOB DUTIES
- Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks areas with products as needed. Ensures all tables and chairs are clean and functioning properly
- Cleans and sanitizes appliances to ensure they are free of food particles, mold and mildew. Defrosts freezer as needed
- Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, ensuring they are well lit, and places rubber mats down to ensure safety
- Follows all established safety procedures and precautions. Reports all unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, and/or defective equipment to their manager
- Ensures that the overall appearance of the resort, buildings and facilities are well maintained and orderly
- Ensures all floors are swept, vacuumed, mopped, waxed, and buffed as needed
- Ensures that all windows and screens are clean and functioning properly
- Maintains washers and dryers by wiping surfaces, removing lint, etc.
- Ensures all offices and buildings are clean and neat. Empties trash containers as needed
- Ensures all vents and filters are cleaned and changed as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- 6 months previous experience cleaning homes or other large facilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of general janitorial work
- Knowledge of safety measures when using various cleaning chemicals
- Abilities to lift at least 25 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet
- Must have a valid driver's license

The housekeeping staff is responsible for ensuring that guests have a clean and pleasant environment during their stay. The candidate must work to clean various sections of the resort, including guest rooms, restrooms, lobby areas, and hallways. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, is able to work independently while meeting Forbes and AAA standards, and constantly striving to exceed guests' expectations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Clean and reset guest bedroom and bathroom areas according to established standards.
- Organize and stock cleaning carts and organize linen closets on assigned floors.
- Complete accurately and in a timely manner any assigned paperwork.
- Report any and all maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or maintenance as directed.
- Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests.
- Clean and maintain public areas of the resort, including lobby areas and restrooms.
- Remove trash from common areas of the resort and empty ashtrays.
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors as needed.
- In addition to the assigned essential functions, the housekeeping staff may be required to perform support functions within the Housekeeping Department at the discretion of the manager.
- Other job duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be flexible in schedule, willing to work holidays and weekends.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Must be task and detail-oriented, energetic, and able to follow specific directions and meet high physical demands.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and work as a team member.
