The Training Specialist will work closely with trainees to assess their needs, set development goals, and provide hands-on coaching in both soft and technical skills. Key Responsibilities:
+ Maintain Transdev's high standard of safety, inside and outside of the vehicle;
+ Consistently demonstrate situational awareness, an understanding of the technology in his/her care, and a willingness to constantly adjust to changes in the environment;
+ Be the deputy for technology by communicating courteously always with management, engineers, and the public;
+ Operate with safety as the primary goal.
+ Conduct classroom sessions and training presentations weekly for new-hires and for employees selected for upskilling programs.
+ Conduct classroom sessions and training presentations as needed for new operators as part of the defensive driving and manual driving training and assessment program.
+ Assist in creating and maintaining a training program and materials.
+ Act as a mentor, providing career or academic advice when applicable;
+ Answer questions, address concerns, and provide resources for further learning.
+ Be able to safely orchestrate training for multiple trainees at the same time, inside and outside of a vehicle.
+ Standardize and maintain consistent training practices across the organization.
+ Participate in weekly meetings with managers and other peers for training improvement discussions; Participate in daily meetings with peers on shift to discuss trainees' performance evaluation.
+ Welcome and Onboard new-hires with a positive attitude and in a professional manner.
+ Practice a firm yet understanding teaching style to accommodate different learning styles.
+ Capable of responding quickly to changing and potentially high-pressure environments.
+ Set the tone and example for less experienced employees;
+ Participate in Operational missions in order to maintain best practices and updates about autonomous vehicles.
+ Comply with Transdev's Autonomous Vehicle Division zero-tolerance policy regarding the use of alcohol or drugs by self-driving vehicle operators during a shift, including randomized drug testing; and
+ All other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience driving on public roads. Additional experience is preferred;
+ High School Diploma or GED required. Four-year college degree (preferred) in a related field like industrial or applied sciences;
+ Minimum 3 months operating and testing autonomous vehicle required.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
+ Proficiency with a laptop computer and GSuite apps (i.e. Gmail, Hangouts, and Driver, including Sheets andDocs); and
+ Proficiency with using a touchscreen smartphone (Android preferred by not required).
+ Must have good attention to detail and be able to quickly and concisely describe their thoughts;
+ Capable of responding quickly and simultaneously to multiple scenarios;
+ Adapt quickly to new and developing technology;
+ Cross-functional verbal and written communication and issue escalation;
+ Must be able to work specific shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends, as well as overnight shifts and ability to travel up to 30% of the time;
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
+ Must be self-motivated and demonstrate good judgment, in fast-paced, high stress environments

**Responsiblities**
The Strategic Operations and Response Support team is seeking an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Cadre Management and Training Coordinator to facilitate and provide comprehensive training for all EOC Cadre members and staff. The EOC Cadre Management and Training position is responsible for the full life cycle of cadre management, including recruitment, scheduling, and maintaining qualifications to ensure a constant state of readiness. As a subject matter expert on EOC operations, EOC Cadre Management and Training will develop and deliver training programs, design curriculum, and facilitate exercises and drills based on adult learning principles and emergency management frameworks. The ideal candidate will have Emergency Operations Center (EOC) experience and be familiar with the day-to-day operations.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ EOC Cadre Facilitation
+ Develop and implement a strategic staff development framework for the EOC, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, and performance evaluation processes of the EOC Cadre members.
+ Maintain a roster of qualified personnel and ensure appropriate staffing levels for all positions within the EOC.
+ Coordinate with relevant agencies and organizations to identify and secure additional resources and personnel during emergencies.
+ Develop and implement a system for tracking the availability and deployment status of EOC cadre members.
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of personnel qualifications, certifications, and training.
+ Training and Development
+ Design and deliver training programs to ensure EOC personnel have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their roles effectively.
+ Conduct regular training needs assessments to identify gaps and develop training plans accordingly.
+ Develop training materials, resources, and exercises to enhance the capabilities of EOC staff.
+ Coordinate with subject matter experts to provide specialized training on specific emergency response functions.
+ Stay up to date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in emergency management and incorporate them into training programs.
+ Performance Evaluation
+ Establish performance evaluation criteria and conduct periodic performance assessments for EOC cadre members.
+ Provide constructive feedback and coaching to improve individual and team performance.
+ Identify training and development needs based on performance evaluations and provide recommendations for improvement.
+ Recognize and reward outstanding performance within the EOC cadre members.
+ EOC Readiness and Preparedness:
+ Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and update emergency response plans and procedures.
+ Conduct drills and exercises to test the readiness and effectiveness of the EOC personnel.
+ Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance the EOC's response capabilities.
+ Ensure that the EOC is equipped with the necessary tools, technology, and resources to support effective operations.
+ Documentation and Reporting
+ Maintain accurate records of all training activities, including attendance, evaluations, and certifications.
+ Prepare regular reports on EOC cadre management and training activities for management and stakeholders.
+ Document lessons learned from training exercises and real-world incidents to inform future improvements.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent training and experience and at least 8 years of relevant experience.
+ Possess in-depth knowledge of emergency management principles, practices, and procedures.
+ Familiarity with EOC and National Incident Management System (NIMS) frameworks, including Incident Command System (ICS).
+ Minimum preferred certifications: Incident Command System (ICS) 100, 200, 700 and 800. Please upload all relevant certifications.
+ Experience applying a systematic approach to training (SAT) or equivalent training design and evaluation methodology.
+ Proven experience delivering formal classroom instruction and applying varied adult learning methods.
+ Strong project management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders professionally and effectively.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, emergency management software, and continuity planning tools.

+ The primary work location will be at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada).
+ Work schedule will be 4/10s Monday through Thursday (subject to change during an emergency incident).
+ Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
+ Must possess a valid driver's license.
MSTS is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. **Responsiblities**
The Strategic Operations and Response Support team is seeking an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Cadre Management and Training Coordinator to facilitate and provide comprehensive training for all EOC Cadre members and staff. The EOC Cadre Management and Training position is responsible for the full life cycle of cadre management, including recruitment, scheduling, and maintaining qualifications to ensure a constant state of readiness. As a subject matter expert on EOC operations, EOC Cadre Management and Training will develop and deliver training programs, design curriculum, and facilitate exercises and drills based on adult learning principles and emergency management frameworks. The ideal candidate will have Emergency Operations Center (EOC) experience and be familiar with the day-to-day operations.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ EOC Cadre Facilitation
+ Develop and implement a strategic staff development framework for the EOC, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, and performance evaluation processes of the EOC Cadre members.
+ Maintain a roster of qualified personnel and ensure appropriate staffing levels for all positions within the EOC.
+ Coordinate with relevant agencies and organizations to identify and secure additional resources and personnel during emergencies.
+ Develop and implement a system for tracking the availability and deployment status of EOC cadre members.
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of personnel qualifications, certifications, and training.
+ Training and Development
+ Design and deliver training programs to ensure EOC personnel have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their roles effectively.
+ Conduct regular training needs assessments to identify gaps and develop training plans accordingly.
+ Develop training materials, resources, and exercises to enhance the capabilities of EOC staff.
+ Coordinate with subject matter experts to provide specialized training on specific emergency response functions.
+ Stay up to date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in emergency management and incorporate them into training programs.
+ Performance Evaluation
+ Establish performance evaluation criteria and conduct periodic performance assessments for EOC cadre members.
+ Provide constructive feedback and coaching to improve individual and team performance.
+ Identify training and development needs based on performance evaluations and provide recommendations for improvement.
+ Recognize and reward outstanding performance within the EOC cadre members.
+ EOC Readiness and Preparedness:
+ Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and update emergency response plans and procedures.
+ Conduct drills and exercises to test the readiness and effectiveness of the EOC personnel.
+ Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance the EOC's response capabilities.
+ Ensure that the EOC is equipped with the necessary tools, technology, and resources to support effective operations.
+ Documentation and Reporting
+ Maintain accurate records of all training activities, including attendance, evaluations, and certifications.
+ Prepare regular reports on EOC cadre management and training activities for management and stakeholders.
+ Document lessons learned from training exercises and real-world incidents to inform future improvements.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent training and experience and at least 8 years of relevant experience.
+ Possess in-depth knowledge of emergency management principles, practices, and procedures.
+ Familiarity with EOC and National Incident Management System (NIMS) frameworks, including Incident Command System (ICS).
+ Minimum preferred certifications: Incident Command System (ICS) 100, 200, 700 and 800. Please upload all relevant certifications.
+ Experience applying a systematic approach to training (SAT) or equivalent training design and evaluation methodology.
+ Proven experience delivering formal classroom instruction and applying varied adult learning methods.
+ Strong project management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders professionally and effectively.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, emergency management software, and continuity planning tools.
+ Able to utilize independent judgment, creativity, initiative, and ability to apply knowledge and experience to resolve problems and compose technical correspondence and reports.
+ Able to prioritize and schedule multiple activities of the department.
+ Able to communicate with all types of people in a tactful, professional, and effective manner while screening and maintaining confidentiality.
+ Able to remember extensive policies, procedures, terminology, schedules, personnel, and other details.
+ Able to deal with pressure of handling multiple tasks, complains, frequent interruptions, and time constraints.
+ Must have ability to read, write, speak, understand, and follow written and/or verbal instruction in English.
+ The primary work location will be at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada).
+ Work schedule will be 4/10s Monday through Thursday (subject to change during an emergency incident).
+ Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
+ Must possess a valid driver's license.
MSTS is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants offered employment with MSTS are also subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter if the duties of the position require a DOE security clearance. Substance abuse or illegal drug use, falsification of information, criminal activity, serious misconduct or other indicators of untrustworthiness can cause a clearance to be denied or terminated by DOE, resulting in the inability to perform the duties assigned and subsequent termination of employment. **Department of Energy Q Clearance** (position will be cleared to this level). Reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR Part 707.4 ( , "Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites," will be conducted. Applicant selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation, required to participate in subsequent reinvestigations, and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified matter.
