Summary

The Business Development Representative will be responsible for driving new business, expanding our customer base, and increasing sales of our truck equipment products and services. This individual will work closely with key stakeholders, including fleet managers, purchasing personnel and other industry professionals to identify needs, present solutions, and close sales. Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Development : Identify and develop new business opportunities within the truck equipment industry, including lead generations, cold calling, networking, and building relationships with potential customers.
  • Sales Presentations & Consultations : Conduct sales presentations to potential clients, highlighting the benefits and value of our truck equipment solutions. Offer consultative sales support to understand client needs and recommend appropriate products.
  • Relationship Building : Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers, ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals. Track and report on sales progress, forecast revenue, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Market Research & Competitor Analysis : Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings. Utilize market insights to adjust sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, customer service, and operations, to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
  • Product Knowledge : Develop a thorough understanding of our truck equipment products and services, including features, benefits, and applications. Be able to effectively communicate this knowledge to prospective clients.
  • Negotiation & Closing : Lead contract negotiations and close sales deals in a timely and professional manner, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • CRM & Reporting: Use CRM software to track leads, manage opportunities, and maintain accurate records of sales activities. Provide regular sales reports to management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience : At least 3 years of experience in relationship sales with an emphasis in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the truck equipment, automotive, or related industries. Experience in selling heavy equipment or vehicles is a plus.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the trucking industry, including trends, challenges, and key players. Familiarity with truck equipment products and their applications is highly desirable.
  • Sales Skills : Excellent sales and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport and close deals. Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.

Work Environment

Our client, a leading provider of innovative SaaS solutions, is seeking an ambitious and results-oriented Senior Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join their thriving sales organization in Boise, Idaho, US . This role is crucial for fueling the sales pipeline by identifying and qualifying high-potential leads. As a Senior SDR, you will leverage your expertise in strategic outreach, lead qualification, and relationship building to generate opportunities for the Account Executive team.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of success in proactive outreach, utilizing various channels including cold calling, email campaigns, and social selling. You will be responsible for understanding prospective clients' pain points, articulating the value proposition of our client's software, and scheduling introductory meetings and demos. Key responsibilities include managing and prioritizing a high volume of inbound and outbound leads, collaborating closely with marketing to optimize lead generation efforts, and maintaining accurate records in the CRM system.
