• SAP Cloud System Administration:
• Manage and monitor SAP systems running in a PaaS environment, including S/4HANA, Solution Manager, and other SAP cloud offerings.
• Collaborate with cloud providers to ensure optimal configuration, performance, and availability of SAP resources.
• Utilize cloud-native tools for monitoring, logging, and system diagnostics.
• Upgrades, Patching, and Maintenance:
• Plan and execute SAP system upgrades, enhancement packs, kernel updates, and patches in the cloud environment.
• Implement automated patch management and maintenance schedules using cloud automation tools.
• Performance Tuning and Optimization:
• Monitor SAP system performance using both SAP tools and cloud-native monitoring solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
• Address performance issues by optimizing resource utilization, load balancing, and scaling in the cloud.
• Cloud Infrastructure and Security:
• Design and maintain secure connectivity between SAP systems and other enterprise applications hosted on-premises or in the cloud.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security policies, including IAM roles, data encryption, and security groups.
• Perform regular audits and implement measures to protect sensitive data within the cloud-hosted SAP environment.
• Backup, Recovery, and High Availability:
• Manage high-availability setups for SAP systems to minimize downtime and meet SLAs.
• Configure and test automated backup and disaster recovery solutions using cloud-native tools.
• Collaboration and Support:
• Work closely with cloud service providers, SAP support, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support SAP-related projects, such as cloud migrations, new module implementations, and process automation initiatives.
• Documentation and Training:
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud-based SAP configurations, workflows, and procedures.
• Train team members and stakeholders on best practices for SAP operations in a cloud PaaS environment.

• Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar area of study required or equivalent years of related work experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar area of study preferred.

• 3-5 years of hands-on SAP Basis administration, with at least 2 years working in a cloud-hosted SAP environment.
• Experience with SAP RISE strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in managing SAP systems in PaaS models and executing SAP migrations to the cloud.

You are:

The SAP BASIS Administrator will analyze, design, code and test multiple components of application code across one or more clients. This resource will also perform maintenance, enhancements and/or development work. The SAP BASIS Administrator will be required to provide technical expertise in support of SAP applications and install, configure, implement, and maintain SAP applications and related software. This resource will establish and implement standards for application operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters.

The work:

• Lead efforts to troubleshoot and/or resolve software, operating system, and networking problems

• Schedule, perform, and monitor system backups and, when necessary, perform data recoveries

• Provide day-to-day technical support for all program applications

• Assist in managing the budgeting, staffing, forecasting and work planning of the project

• May manage a team to include mentoring and training junior team members

Here’s what you need:

• 4+ years of SAP BASIS experience

• Experience with budgeting, staffing, forecasting and work planning

• Familiar with the particulars of SAP including S/4 HANA, ECC, SRM, BW, PI/PO, Enterprise Portal, BOBJ, HANA DB, and Oracle DB

Nice to have:

• Relevant SAP certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• 4-7 years of relevant experience as a SAP Basis Administrator
• Hands-on practical experience in 2-3 SAP implementation projects
• Performs configuration, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting on the SAP technical environment, including scheduling and executing the SAP transport system.

• Executes installation, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP systems

• Introduces technical changes into the environment using a structured approach that minimizes risk and achieves high reliability, availability and performance of each SAP instance

• Maintains SAP performance by planning and executing SAP tuning strategies.

• Experienced SAP Basis Administrator with 8+ years of experience
• Experience on ERP 6.0, SCM 7.01, BW 7.1, PI 7.1, SBOP 4.1 ,SBOP BODS 4.2, MDM 7.1, Enterprise Portal with knowledge on how each of these components are integrated
• Experience in planning and executing maintenance tasks like EHp Upgrade, Support Pack installation, System Refresh, TDMS, Installation of New Systems and Components, along with integration of each core SAP application components in landscape.
• Expertise in support activities like System Health Check Monitoring, Performance Monitoring and Tuning, Live Cache Administration, Background Job Administration, Transport Management, Spool Administration, and General Basis Support etc.
• Exposure to SAP Database Admin of MS-SQL and performing activities like Reorg, Index Compression, Patch Upgrade, Good understanding of conventional MS-SQL Recovery techniques.
• Exposure on SAP Kernel upgrades, Application Upgrades OS-DB upgrades
• Hands-on Experience on ALM functionalities of SAP Solution Manager 7.2 like Change and Release Management, ITSM, E2E monitoring, CTS+, NWDI, EWA config etc.
• Familiarity with a variety of Operating Systems. Skilled at performing tasks and executing operations on Linux and Windows.
• Experience in troubleshooting and providing primary analysis on issues relating to SAP application components in landscape
• Experience in supporting SAP on Virtualized environments and exposure to VMWare.
• Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Word experiences for documentation and report purposes.
