The anticipated salary range for this role is between $67,000.00 and $80,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. **Role Description**
Monitor and process post-trade instructions, ensuring timely settlement of trades executed by trading desk and clients. Track and resolve cash and security reconciliation breaks, and liaise with trade support to remediate any issues. Ensure that all standard settlement instructions have been validated before release. Ensure that instructions are released to market, and manage settlement risk and exposure.
**Role Objectives: Delivery**
Support the day-to-day execution of securities processes including settlements, confirmations, exception management and note issuance / management. Ensure timely confirmation and settlement of all transactions. Provide client custody statements as required and process transactions in line with documented procedures. Provide MI for operations team on cash receipts, failed transactions, exceptions and trade instruction reconciliations, escalating any unmatched items as required. Ensure that all end-of-day checks are completed and signed off and that process flows and checklists are up to date. Report any client disputes and risk incidents to control team(s) within agreed timelines and ensure that operational key risk indicators (KRIs) are kept within established tolerances.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commodities Securities & Derivatives Lead Analyst to join our high-performing and energized team. This senior-level position plays a critical role in supporting our Global traders and clients by efficiently processing and monitoring orders and transactions. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Settlements team, providing crucial cross-functional support, training, and acting as a point of escalation for internal and external queries. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute directly to process improvements, minimize operational risks, and enhance client service.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Process and monitor orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices.
+ Coordinate effectively with the Operations Settlements team to ensure smooth operations.
+ Provide cross-functional support across the Settlements team.
+ Assist in training team members in operational procedures and best practices.
+ Handle and resolve internal and external queries and escalations promptly.
+ Identify opportunities and recommend creative suggestions for process improvements.
+ Contribute to minimizing losses stemming from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
+ Actively work to better serve our clients through efficient and robust support.
+ Provide support to Front Office Sales and Trading for all commodity settlement related queries
+ Contribute to bank change projects and the development of new techniques to improve processes and workflows.
+ Ensure procedures are appropriately updated and documented.
**Qualifications:**
+ Experience: Proven experience in processing and monitoring orders and transactions within a commodities securities and derivatives environment.
+ Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of trading desk operations and settlement processes.
+ Leadership: Demonstrated ability to provide guidance, assist with training, and handle escalations.
+ Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying issues and recommending solutions for process enhancements.
+ Risk Awareness: Understanding of operational risks and control mechanisms.
+ Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with traders, clients, and internal teams.
+ Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
**Education:**
+ Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
+ Master's degree preferred

**POSITION PURPOSE**
This position provides temporary, project-based assistance in the Energy Markets division at headquarters. The incumbent will gain exposure to Cooperative operations and practices while supporting teams with hands-on tasks and assignments appropriate to their field of study.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES**
+ Assist with the checkout process of gas purchase and sales contracts to ensure accurate settlement of transactions.
+ Assist with the settlement of wind purchase power agreements with numerous counterparties such as validating curtailments and providing calculations for the counterparties to confirm.
+ Assist with teh settlement of short-term transmission, energy and capacity transactions.
+ Complete monthly biling.
+ Investigate abnormalities in market activities to determine causes and develop solutions to resolve or improve market activities.
+ Support the development and expansion of data and systems related to market analysis functions.
+ Project assignments and ad-hoc requests for data and analysis to support Energy Markets and reporting processes.
+ Follow safety, security, and procedural guidelines.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Be at least 18 years of age.
+ Be enrolled as a full-time student in a four-year Business, Finance, or Accounting program with at least two years completed or recent graduate (within the past 12 months).
+ Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Previous internship or relevant work experience.
+ Additional certifications or coursework in field of study.
**PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS**
This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position and to move about the office building, occasional reaching below and above shoulder level, constant use of keyboard/computer and other office productivity machinery, bending, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds. It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination.
