The ideal candidate should thrive in dynamic environments, quickly grasping and applying new software tools, cloud architectures, and DevSecOps practices to keep pace with our client's modernization goals.
The candidate will tackle complex problems within system and architectural boundaries and work closely with customers to validate feature requirements, ensuring the highest level of customer service. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take ownership of product features from backlog to support and maintenance
- Apply engineering best practices throughout all phases of a project lifecycle, including daily stand-ups, code reviews, source code management, deployment processes, and production code support
- Communicate effectively with users, engineers, and management to translate requirements into deployable software
- Actively participate in engineering meetings and cross-team mentoring activities
- Participate in an On-Call rotation for production platform support
- Negotiate trade-offs between software quality and time to market
- Travel to support customers in air-gapped environments.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Secret or Top-Secret clearance.
- 6+ months of professional application development experience in a modern software development role.
- Familiarity with full-stack development and basic knowledge of computer science fundamentals like object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience in a customer-facing role, providing technical evaluations
- Familiarity with Agile environments and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps
- Basic understanding of SOLID Principles and programming fundamentals
- Experience with REST APIs and single-page applications.
- Knowledge of server (microservice) and monolith architectures
- Proficiency in unit and integration testing

You will blend software development with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) administration, gaining hands-on experience in configuring Databricks and AWS resources. Your contributions will include developing automation solutions and supporting service metrics reporting. You will collaborate effectively with a global team of users and data scientists leveraging Databricks within multiple Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) deployments.
Top Secret Security Clearance Required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, defect resolution, and manage COTS/GOTS/FOSS activities.
- Support software installations and deployments.
- Assist with debugging during core COTS upgrades.

Oracle's AI Data Platform is accelerating enterprise AI and redefining how AI applications are built. The AI Data Platform team is seeking an experienced **Software Engineering Director** to lead key initiatives that accelerate adoption of modern AI technologies across our AI Data Platform.
In this highly strategic role, you will drive the design, development, and integration of state-of-the-art AI solutions. You will collaborate with stakeholders across product, engineering, and science to shape the AI Data Platform's AI roadmap and deliver differentiated value to enterprise customers and partners.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Build and lead a high-impact engineering team dedicated to developing and operationalizing modern AI capabilities-including Agents, GenAI models, and RAG workflows-within the Oracle AI Data Platform.
+ Define and execute the vision for next-generation AI services and tools that enable advanced automation, insights, and productivity for enterprise applications.
+ Evaluate, architect, and integrate emerging AI technologies-assessing their relevance, maturity, and impact on the AI Data Platform.
+ Establish best practices for scalable, secure, and robust deployment of GenAI and RAG-powered services, ensuring seamless integration with Oracle's cloud and application ecosystem.
+ Shape technical strategy and influence the platform roadmap by translating market and customer requirements into actionable engineering plans.
+ Foster cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, science, and enterprise customers to prototype and validate innovative AI-powered workflows.
+ Drive pilots and joint initiatives with strategic customers and partners to accelerate adoption of Oracle's AI Data Platform offerings.
**Qualifications**
+ Proven experience leading technical innovation teams in AI/ML, cloud data platforms, or large-scale infrastructure environments.
+ Deep technical expertise in machine learning systems, GenAI/LLM model architectures, and development/deployment of AI agents or RAG pipelines at enterprise scale.
+ Demonstrated track record of delivering complex, high-impact features or platforms from concept to customer adoption and operational stability.
+ Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution and customer needs.
+ Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels including with enterprise customers.
+ Experience driving end-to-end engineering solutions in partnership with cross-functional teams, including science, engineering, and customer-facing roles.
+ 10+ years of engineering or technical leadership experience, with significant recent leadership in AI, ML platforms, and/or data infrastructure.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $122,500 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
