Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Must have current CNA license for a minimum of 2 years

The Field Supervisor will provide non-clinical guidance and training to home care aide staff in the field and will evaluate their performance in the field

Reviews the Plan of Care and recommends an RN re-assessment based on the needs of client

Evaluates the effectiveness of home care services by obtaining feedback from the client and/or the primary caregiver

Submits assessments and other required documentation outlining the services rendered as indicated in a timely manner

Participates in case meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings as scheduled

Discusses any problems concerning the clients and/or the services being provided to the clients then developing appropriate and effective solutions

Participates in office meetings and staff development trainings

Assists with performance reviews of the aides and ensures competency

Adheres to Federal, state and accreditation requirements

Maintains licensures and/or relevant certifications as required

Qualifications:

A current CNA certificate for a minimum of 2 years

Must have reliable transportation

Must have current driver's license

Responsibilities Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: The employee has the responsibility for leadership, management, oversight of the assigned staff, coordination with/through Designated (DO) /Senior (SO) Officials, and their appointed Antiterrorism Representatives (ATRs). The employee plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Leased Facilities Branch, ensuring all work areas complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets the agency needs. The employee represents PFPA as a key member on permanent or ad-hoc interagency committees and groups to identify security program requirements and/or problems of common interest, and to review, analyze, and make recommendations on policies, procedures, and practices impacting security administration and counterintelligence objectives. Serves as the senior advisor to the Director, ATFP, on all NCR DoD leased facilities AT, FP, MA, CIP, and PHY SEC threat matters. Summary This position serves as the Supervisory Supply Technician (Medical) for the Medical Supply Distribution (MSD) areas of Logistics Service within the VA Health Care System. As a Supervisory Supply Technician, you will ensure that supplies and material are distributed to all areas serviced by Logistics by directing, supervising and managing the primary inventory point that receives, stores and issues supplies and materials for both clinical and administrative service areas of the medical center. Responsibilities Duties include, but may not be limited to the following: Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates; sets and adjusts short term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work based on priorities; Advises, counsels and instructs employees on work and administrative manners, such as complaints, grievances, etc.; Finds and implements ways to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to production; Provides guidance and evaluates work involving new, complex or unusual situations and those without clear precedence; Oversees management and distribution of all supplies and material in the medical center through subordinates who maintain stock, monitor expiration dates and rotating stock, ensure critical supplies are monitored, perform daily inventory, resolve differences in records, distribute items, deliver supplies in a timely manner, and complete specialty cart preparation; Oversees the receipt of supplies and material into the medical center; Ensures supplies are unpacked and properly stored in inventory areas; Analyzes and resolves difficult issues and problems in order to plan effectively and render equitable and reliable decisions; Conducts market research on all new products and ensures they are recorded in the automated inventory system; Ensures availability of recurring supply items which are managed and distributed through the computerized inventory management system; Analyzes management reports in order to manage and control the fund control point limitations and identify trends, correct errors, and resolve problems; Works with members of the vendor and/or contract community, managers, supervisors and other staff throughout the medical center on Logistics issues; and Communicates with subordinate staff and other administrative and clinical staff to coordinate and persuade logistics activities on the implementation of policy or procedural changes. Physical Requirements and Work Environment: Work is normally accomplished within a supply office and supply distribution points with the majority of time utilizing the automated inventory system for inventory management, processing orders, distributing supplies, conducting physical inventories in the warehouse and various supply points. Responsible for the storage and distribution of supplies to both primary and secondary inventory points, as well as within the bulk supply areas. This may include movement of stock to assist in counting, storing, rotating, and retrieving items from shelves and cabinets. Physical exertions and demands include standing, walking, bending, stretching, reaching, and pushing/pulling supply carts and lifting supplies up to 50 pounds are required. Works primarily in a supply office and supply distribution points that support the Storage and Distribution of supplies. Multiple interruptions are experience throughout the day resulting from telephone and personal contacts with individuals requiring information, guidance, or problem solving. Protective and special clothing is worn to prevent exposure to dangerous materials; hair covers, shoe covers, and gloves are worn as required when delivering supplies into clean/sterile areas and managing verification of inventory stock levels within the primaries. Physical dispersion of the facility may make it necessary to make deliveries over uneven terrain and/or in adverse weather conditions.
