**FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT**
New York City College of Technology of the City University of New York (CUNY), a comprehensive college offering associate and baccalaureate degrees, invites applications for a lecturer position in the Department of Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering Technology to begin in the fall 2025 semester. This is a full-time position that leads to a certificate of continuous employment.
The department's associate degree program in electrical engineering technology (AAS) prepares graduates for careers as electronic technicians. The baccalaureate program in electrical engineering technology (BTech) prepares graduates for careers as electrical technologists. The BTech program builds upon the skills learned in the first two years and adds more advanced study in data communications, coding, computer systems, satellite, fiber optic communications, power systems, control systems, mechatronics, and power electronics among several other emerging telecom and electrical engineering technology courses. Both programs are accredited by ETAC of ABET. The employers of graduates include Citicorp, MTA, Verizon, and Con Edison among others.
Faculty members in the department teach a wide spectrum of courses, from basic electrical and electronic concepts to modern telecommunications, including support for emerging applications.
The department seeks a candidate with expertise in electrical engineering technology with emphasis in one of the following fields:

+ Control systems
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or related field and the ability to teach successfully.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
+ A master's degree, doctorate, or doctoral equivalent (master's degree and PE license) in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
+ A minimum of three years of teaching at the college level and/or of industrial experience is strongly preferred.
**COMPENSATION**
$69,983 - $88,998. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases. Once implemented, salaries of eligible employees will be adjusted by 6.09% with additional increases of 3.25% effective 9/01/2025 and 3.5% effective 9/01/2026, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement.

City Tech invites applications for a College Laboratory Technician within the Computer Systems Technology Department to begin during the academic year.
The Department of Computer Systems Technology offers three degrees: (a) an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Computer Information Systems, (b) a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Systems and (c) a Bachelor in Science (BS) in Data Science.
The AAS program prepares students for entry-level careers in computer programming, database programming, web programming, and systems/network administration and support; the BTech program allows students to further specialize in software development, networking and security, database management, or internet computing. The modular nature of the BTech curriculum allows students to gain a broad overview of IT applications and to specialize in areas of particular interest; the BS in Data Science program is a synthesis of applied mathematics, high-performance computing, data management and analysis. Reporting to the Chair of the Computer Systems Technology Department, the duties of the College Laboratory Technician will include, but not be limited to:

The Department of Mechanical Engineering (MET) is an innovative and growing department, the only campus in CUNY to offer an associate (AAS) and bachelor's degree (BTech) in Mechanical Engineering Technology, as well as an associate degree (AAS) in Industrial Design. The four-year bachelor of technology (BTech) degree includes concentrations in Industrial Design, Manufacturing Engineering, and Computer systems Technology, with a strong focus on robotics. The Mechanical Engineering Technology programs are ABET-accredited.
Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology, the College Laboratory Technician will be expected to contribute to the academic and professional vitality of the department through both extensive technical knowledge and the ability to function collaboratively in department-level efforts. The CLT will support both structural and software implementation, as well as direct faculty and student assistance, as needed, in laboratory settings. The ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
The CLT's key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Ensure lab safety protocols according to OSHA standards, including conducting regular safety inspections, providing safety training to lab users, and maintaining safety documentation.
+ Manage lab materials inventory and ordering processes, and the timely renewal of service contracts, ensuring adequate supplies are available for experiments and projects.
+ Develop and maintain semester-based schedules for part-time lab technicians, coordinating staffing needs with lab courses and supporting professors during scheduled class hours by ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and maintaining a safe environment for students.

We are hiring for immediate openings and onboarding on a rolling basis. The salary range for this position is between $64,500 and $90,000.
