Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Associate to join our team. As a key member of our Distribution Center, you will be responsible for handling full cases of product, lifting cartons and merchandise onto and off conveyor lines, pallets or other storage containers.

This role requires steady, fast-paced work to maintain case quantities for picking operations and to help palletize outbound products.

You will be operating powered industrial equipment including forklifts, stand-up forklifts, order selectors, and other equipment. You must successfully complete Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) classroom training and pass a written test for all PIV equipment that you would operate.

Additionally, you must complete and pass a PIV driver training course with verbal commands lasting up to two weeks taught in English.

• Experience operating forklifts or cranes is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, processing materials based on customer's needs, following quality guidelines for quality sortation projects, and working with heavy machinery such as balers and conveyors. Essential duties and responsibilities

• Assist with unloading and receiving customer product
• Open bales, crates and other containers
• Process materials for recycling as per standard protocols, including removing irritants (hangtags, rubber bands, polybags, etc), or quality inspecting for alternative solutions
• Sort used apparel according to conditional grading criteria 
• Operate a forklift (preferable)
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
• Wear the proper safety equipment (steel toe shoes & high visibility vest)

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1-2 yrs previous warehouse experience preferred
• A valid Driver’s License
• Forklift experience is preferred
• Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills
• Dependable and Reliable
• Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required

• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear

PURPOSE: Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for accurately performing the duties and responsibilities described herein. • Barcode and process new boxes
• Pull access list.
• Refile Boxes/Files
• Barcode and process boxes scheduled for destruction.
• Perform responsibilities related to bay consolidations.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating a picker forklift or other company equipment.
• Prior to signing out equipment performs operations and safety check, including battery, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguisher.
• Proceeds safely to assigned area to pull, load and move boxes.
