Position Overview:
The Political Director will lead NDLB’s political strategy and candidate engagement ahead of the 2026 midterms and beyond. This senior-level role requires significant experience, a proven network, and the ability to assess, support, and strengthen Democratic campaigns nationwide. The Political Director will oversee candidate selection, relationship management, coalition-building, and political operations, ensuring our resources are strategically invested where they can make the greatest impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate congressional candidates for potential endorsement and support.
- Cultivate strong relationships with candidates, elected officials, party leaders, and partner organizations.
- Conduct electoral research and analysis to inform resource allocation and strategy.
- Provide insight on district-level issues, voter trends, and political dynamics.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of two campaign cycles of political experience (more preferred), ideally in roles such as Political Director, Campaign Manager, or senior-level strategist.
- Strong research and data analysis skills, with the ability to translate findings into actionable strategy.
- Established network of political, campaign, and policy contacts.

Overview
PANA is hiring a Political Director to lead and expand our work to advance the full civic inclusion of Black, Arab, Middle Eastern, Southeast Asian, and Muslim (BAMEMSA) refugee and immigrant communities and further explore and push for policy and legal solutions that secure the fundamental right to equal access to and their full participation in our democracy. The Political Director will report directly to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities- Be an active participant in local and statewide language access and democracy coalitions to advance language access and democratic reforms, including the Census and fair redistricting.
- Build or be part of a network of statewide BAMEMSA organizations and develop and execute shared advocacy strategies around democracy reform, Census reform, resources, and redistricting.
- Collaborate with the organizing team to provide clear policy targets and analysis to fuel campaign strategies, translate organizing efforts directly into policy formation, and develop tools and training opportunities that increase the capacity of the community to transform the systems that affect their lives.

- Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years of progressively responsible experience in policy, government affairs, advocacy, or a related field.
- J.D. and California bar admission preferred but not required
- Demonstrated history of developing and successfully advancing a legislative agenda.
- Demonstrated commitment to refugee and immigrant communities, and racial equity.
- Experience building and managing diverse coalitions and working with a wide range of stakeholders.

- Strong writing and communication skills.

Position Summary
The Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition (CIRC) and CIRC Action Fund (CIRC AF) are seeking a Political Director to lead our legislative, policy implementation, and advocacy work. This permanent role will advance our long-term governing agenda, coordinate with policy and electoral staff, and represent CIRC/AF with elected officials and partners at the state and national level.
The Political Director will supervise the Policy Manager, ensure alignment across departments, and represent CIRC/AF with elected officials and coalitions at the state and national level. Additionally, the Political Director will oversee decisions about adding additional staff to our policy team and work with the Co-Executive Directors in structuring those positions. This role requires both strategic vision and hands-on leadership to strengthen grassroots power, shape policy outcomes, and amplify immigrant voices in civic life.
Key Responsibilities
Policy & Advocacy
- Provide leadership on legislative implementation, planning, and policy alignment.

- Coordinate cross-departmental teams to mobilize quickly, ensuring alignment of communications, organizing, and advocacy.
- Step into high-priority projects in other departments during peak workload or leadership gaps, ensuring organizational cohesion.
- Serve as a thought partner to Co-Executive Directors in making real-time strategic decisions under pressure.
Qualifications
Required:
- 7+ years experience in policy, political strategy, or advocacy campaigns.
- Strong knowledge of legislative and electoral systems; Colorado-specific experience preferred.
- A proactive communicator who ensures clarity, alignment, and timely updates across staff, leadership, and coalition partners.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with shifting priorities.

Compensation, Benefits & Terms of Employment
This is a full-time position with a salary range of $80,000-$5,000 based on experience.

- Mileage - 70 cents per mile.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Connecticut Political Director is responsible for all aspects of the Union’s political program in those states, which includes legislative, electoral, and organizing campaigns as well as member engagement strategies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Work with the 32BJ Deputy Political Director, the Vice President for Connecticut, and the Research and Policy Director to develop and implement union’s political agenda at the state and local level;
- Plan and coordinate campaign field activities, lobby visits, phone banking and events for our public policy and legislative campaigns at the city, state and federal level;
- Plan and supervise electoral program for local, state, and federal elections;
- Mobilize, train, and educate member leaders and activists for legislative and electoral campaign activity; create and lead political trainings for member leaders;
- Support 32BJ contract and organizing campaigns, as well as campaigns to fight back when the union loses a worksite, including supporting rallies, press events, creating legislative opportunities, and targeted owner activity;
- Coordinate the Union’s political work with labor and community allies;
- Provide political, electoral, legislative and movement building campaign updates and reports to Union Officials, Leaders and rank and file members.
The ideal candidate will be organized, assertive and a self-starter, as well as a strong multi-tasker who is able to pivot easily from issue to issue or from campaign to campaign.
While no one candidate will possess every quality outlined for this position, the successful candidate will bring many of the following professional skills and personal attributes:
- 5 years of experience in labor, political, or community organizing;
- Ability to design and implement powerful and effective campaign plans;
- Comprehensive knowledge of legislative processes, particularly in Connecticut;
- Experience working on electoral campaigns and managing field programs;
- Excellent communications skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the union and externally;

- Develop and implement short and long-range plans and strategies to effectively utilize and strengthen the CAP's political programs.
- Oversight of PathPAC, including fundraising initiatives, contribution distribution strategy, timely preparation and filing of FEC reports, production of all promotional materials, PathPAC donor recognition program, and PathPAC reception at the CAP Annual Meeting.
- Collaborate with the PathPAC manager and legislative staff on donation distribution strategy to support our legislative agenda.
- Oversight of PathNET, including grassroots network PathNET, recruit new participants, review and keep training materials up to date, production of all promotional materials, PathNET recognition program, and increase participation level of current PathNET members.
- Collaborate with the PathNET coordinator and legislative staff on grassroots strategy to support our legislative agenda.
- Provides staff support for the PathPAC Board of Directors, Federal and State Affairs Committees, and Council on Government and Professional Affairs.
- Represent the College at CAP programs, political events, or other assigned functions.
- Oversee the management of Aristotle, the College’s political action committee and grassroots data system.
- Oversight of Advocacy’s planning and participation in CAP enterprise meetings (Annual Meeting, House of Delegates meetings, and Policy Meeting).
- Managing and utilizing resources across related projects; monitors and controls spending activities against defined budget.

Additional Criteria
Travel: Approximately four weekends. This position is based out of the Washington, DC office. Candidates must reside within 75-miles of the DC office.
Salary: $114,000 - $146,000.

Overview
Job Summary: Political engagement professional who will execute all aspects of Finseca’s political activities. Work with Advocacy team and member leadership to implement and develop political programs, including fundraising, member education, and disbursements of PAC. The Director will be responsible for managing an extensive grassroots portfolio, including fundraising, coordinating legislative meetings, identifying, and recruiting new advocates from the Finseca membership and developing them into high-quality political advocates. Will plan and execute political trainings and our annual fly-in. Other projects as necessary.
Responsibilities- Execute Finseca’s Ambassador Program and political advocacy strategy for Finseca’s growing membership. The Ambassador Program is Finseca’s political engagement program designed to build trusted relationships with policymakers for our members. Core program responsibilities are:
- Schedule and execute, including being responsible for fundraising event goals and doing one on one individual fundraising outreach to specific goals.
- Work with external partners (Congressional staff, fundraisers) staff to facilitate meetings with Ambassadors and policymakers.
- Recruitment and development of new Finseca Ambassadors and donors to specific goals.
- Develop strategies and opportunities to increase member engagement, advocacy activities, and opportunities.
