Department/Unit Summary

Join our 22-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Telemetry with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:5/6. We are staffed with Registered Nurses (RNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Monitor Techs providing care for patients for a mix of patients including Med/Surge. Our unit has 24/7 CNA coverage who work closely with the RNs as well as 24/7 cardiac monitoring. This role offers the opportunity to work in a face-paced environment with rapid patient turnover while delivering high-quality patient care in a strong team environment.

Staffed with Registered Nurses (RNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Mental Health Technicians, Social Work Therapists, Recreational Therapists and Psychiatric Providers. Our unit treats a variety of diagnoses such as Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Patients may present with psychosis, suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, mania, or exacerbations of mental illness. This role offers an opportunity to work collaboratively in a supportive environment focused on providing quality care and support to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises.

With a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4/5, our diverse staff includes RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Paramedics, Unit Secretaries and Providers whose goal is to create a collaborative environment to deliver exceptional care. We take pride in our facility being a Certified Chest Pain and Primary Stroke Center. With an average daily census of 106 patients, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality emergency medical care in a fast-paced environment.

An active member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team the Case Manager facilitates internal and external delivery of healthcare services. The Case Manager integrates the roles of Utilization Management, Case Management and Discharge Planning.
