Med/Surg RN Position Summary:
Assesses the patient's condition and nursing care needs
Sets goals and prescribes appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of patients
Develops individual nursing care plans
Implements care plans and makes revisions as needed
Evaluates patient care outcomes
Collaborates with physicians and other hospital employees
Administers medications, treatments and therapies.
Communicates with patients and oversees provision of care.
Provides patients and/or family with instruction and education relevant to condition.
Accurately documents nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and other care given.
Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree in nursing, required
KY RN state licensure or compact licensure, required
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 month of hire & Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 month of hire
TNCC within 1 year hire
Handle with care or equivalent in 120 days of hire
CEN within 2 years of hire date
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, preferred
ENPC preferred
NRP preferred

Position Summary:
Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Supervises, teaches, and delegates to other personnel in the performance of activities related to nursing care.
- Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
- Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment, and evaluation overall plan daily for effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be willing to take call shifts
- RN license in state of KY or compact state
- Associate's Degree in Nursing Required
- ACLS, BCLS, Required
- Bachelor's degree in nursing Preferred
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
