Amazon is seeking a designer to work on visual and product design for the About Amazon website, which serves news and information about the company to external audiences. This role is on the Amazon News team, which sits within Amazon's Communications & Corporate Responsibility org.
This person will work on the Amazon News design team, and will be responsible for creating visual designs for news and feature stories on the About Amazon site. This will include everything from straightforward graphics to more complicated motion designs that tell a more in-depth story. Outside of visuals for stories, they will also create assets and designs for use across various web products, including the About Amazon website homepage and special projects pages as well as the Amazon News email newsletter.
In addition to visual design, this person should have strong knowledge of web design and mobile UX best practices, as well as an understanding of motion graphics and animated GIF creation. They should also have experience working with design tools like Figma and Content Management Systems.
The ideal candidate is a strong project manager and creative designer who has experience working with editorial content in a newsroom-type of setting and understands how to use data to strategically drive designs. This person is an excellent communicator, and will collaborate with partners across other teams, such as editorial, production, distribution, and tech, as well as external vendors.
We want someone who embraces innovation and experimentation, and delivers results with executional excellence. This person must be comfortable working in a fast-paced newsroom-like setting and be willing to roll up their sleeves to get projects done.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- 3+ years experience designing interactive storytelling, products, and tools
- A portfolio of work that shows 3+ years understanding user-centered design principles and showcases your process along with finished design work.
- Figma experience or similar prototyping tools.

3. Develop and deploy custom contact flows and automation scripts. Configure call routing, queues, and user permissions. Optimize contact centre operations through data analysis and feedback loops.

4. Implement real-time and historical reporting solutions using AWS analytics tools.

5. Integrate Amazon Connect with third-party CRMs, ticketing systems, and workforce management tools. Customize agent and customer experiences using APIs and SDKs

6. Leverage AI/ML tools (e.g., Amazon Lex for chatbots, Amazon Polly for text-to-speech) to enhance customer interactions.

7. Analyse existing and new voice and data networks (as needed), Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and identify problem areas and solve issues in a proactive manner. Monitor system performance to ensure high availability, security, and compliance of the contact centre infrastructure.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Amazon Customer Service's Shipping and Delivery Support (SDS) provides support to drivers who deliver packages to customers on behalf of Amazon. We are seeking a passionate and talented Machine Learning Engineer (MLE) to join our team in advancing state-of-the-art Generative AI technologies and Large Language Models (LLMs). In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy highly scalable AI models that benefit drivers, customer service associates, and customers. You will work closely with applied scientists and research teams to productionalize Machine Learning (ML) models, focusing on novel LLM training techniques, optimizations, and customization capabilities such as fine-tuning and distillation.
Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with Applied Scientists to integrate state-of-the-art model architectures into the training pipeline, integrate state-of-the-art ML/LLM into CS system.
- Collaborate with Applied Scientists to process massive data, scale LLM while optimizing GPU utilization, memory management, and the training workflows (like offloading optimizer states, massive parallelization, etc).
- Cross-team collaboration to facilitate deployment and test of models in the production system.
- Design and maintain large-scale distributed training systems to support multi-modal foundation models.
- Optimize GPU utilization for efficient model training and fine-tuning on massive datasets.
