Business Central Implementation Specialist SUMMARY:
We seek a Solutions Architect possessing a robust technical foundation and extensive proficiency in diverse areas, including full-stack development, business analysis, risk management, data-driven investment control, IT architecture, infrastructure, cloud development, engineering, software architecture design, DevOps practices, effective communication, big data design, and enterprise data platform design.
Business Central Implementation Specialist DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the design and architecture of D365 BC solutions, ensuring alignment with client needs, business objectives, and industry best practices. Preferred experience in the Auto Body Parts vertical.
- Formulate integration strategies for linking D365 BC with other Microsoft ecosystem systems (e.g., Dynamics 365 CRM, Azure services) and external platforms (e.g., ADP), prioritizing considerations such as data flow, security, and scalability. Integration Solution Designs must adhere to Microsoft guidelines, especially multiplexing rules.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into functional specifications and solution designs. Our operational scope encompasses six locations (two in Houston, TX, two in Dallas, TX, one in San Antonio, TX, and one in Phoenix, AZ).
- Provide technical and financial leadership and guidance to development teams across the implementation lifecycle, ensuring compliance with architectural standards and best practices.
- Evaluates and interprets financial data encompassing assets, liabilities, and capital within the D365 BC framework.
- Prepares and assesses financial and operational reports related to D365 BC; generates reports required by regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and other external stakeholders.
- Coordinates the creation of corporate budgets and forecasts pertaining to D365 BC.
- Produce a gap-fit analysis document, proposing solutions for each requirement. Detail the necessary configuration of D365 BC solutions, leveraging platform capabilities to address unique business needs while minimizing reliance on custom code.
- Develop a comprehensive data migration plan aligned with project scope.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to verify that implemented solutions meet quality standards, performance requirements, and security protocols.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in D365 BC and related domains, identifying opportunities for process enhancement and innovation.
- Recruits, trains, supervises, motivates, and cultivates D365 BC staff; oversees schedules and workflow.
- Assigns tasks and monitors the quality of work; ensures staff compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Installs, customizes, documents, and manages the implementation of D365 BC systems and control procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Two to four years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire team members.
- Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Microsoft Office.

About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) Developer to join our growing team. The Developer will report to the Senior Director of IT and will possess both technical and functional expertise in Dynamics BC and have hands-on experience across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Dynamics 365 CRM, Azure, Power BI, Power Apps, Dataverse, SQL, and/or Microsoft Fabric. This role will be responsible for solution design, development, customization, integration, and support for ERP and connected systems, helping drive business transformation through technology.
As a response to the pandemic, Albert Uster Imports office employees have transitioned to a hybrid working schedule, requiring employees to report in-person Monday through Wednesday, with the option to telework on Thursday and Friday each week. Due to the collaborative, cross-functional nature of the organization, employees at the Gaithersburg office are required to work in-person for the abovementioned days, outside of any People & Culture-approved disability accommodation request.
RESPONSIBILITIIES
- Customize and extend Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to meet business requirements using AL, extensions, and APIs
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements
- Develop and deploy solutions to extend functionality and improve business processes
- Design, develop, and implement integrations between BC and Dynamics 365 CRM, Shopify, and other connected systems
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including finance, sales, operations, and IT to align technology solutions with business goals
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central development and customization
- Experience integrating BC with Dynamics 365 CRM and other third-party applications
- Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Fabric, Power BI.
- Strong functional understanding of core business processes (finance, sales, purchasing, inventory, etc.)
- Proficiency in AL language, Visual Studio Code, and version control tools (e.g., Git)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services including Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and security best practices

This role will be responsible for solution design, development, customization, integration, and support for ERP and connected systems, helping drive business transformation through technology.
As a response to the pandemic, Albert Uster Imports office employees have transitioned to a hybrid working schedule, requiring employees to report in-person Monday through Wednesday, with the option to telework on Thursday and Friday each week. Due to the collaborative, cross-functional nature of the organization, employees at the Gaithersburg office are required to work in-person for the abovementioned days, outside of any People & Culture-approved disability accommodation request.
RESPONSIBILITIIES
- Customize and extend Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to meet business requirements using AL, extensions, and APIs
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements
- Develop and deploy solutions to extend functionality and improve business processes
- Design, develop, and implement integrations between BC and Dynamics 365 CRM, Shopify, and other connected systems
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including finance, sales, operations, and IT to align technology solutions with business goals
Required
- 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central development and customization
- Experience integrating BC with Dynamics 365 CRM and other third-party applications
- Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Fabric, Power BI.
- Strong functional understanding of core business processes (finance, sales, purchasing, inventory, etc.)
- Proficiency in AL language, Visual Studio Code, and version control tools (e.g., Git)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services including Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and security best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365, Power Platform, or Azure
- Experience with CI/CD and automated testing in BC development
- Knowledge of data migration tools and processes within the Microsoft ecosystem
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools like Azure DevOps or Jira
SALARY RANGE
We hire exceptional people to perform a wide variety of important functions that contribute to the success of the Company. One of the ways we do that is through a competitive compensation package. The base salary for this role will be $130,000 - $160,000.
This role will be bonus-eligible.
Based on your qualifications, previous experience, and transferrable skills, the Company will determine at its sole discretion, the salary offered.
