**Overview** :
This position works with the Senior Director, Gulf Coast Environmental Business to support management of the Gulf Coast environmental compliance programs, focusing primarily on environmental data and reporting, regulatory compliance, obtaining project related permits, renewal of existing permits, and managing special projects.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Provide support for permitting and compliance activities, including Title V permitting and compliance certifications, emissions inventories, New Source Review (NSR) permit applications and renewals, facility compliance audits, and participate in regulatory development through various industry workgroups.
+ Perform construction, modification, and major maintenance reviews on projects at existing power plants, including New Source Review determinations.
+ Evaluate test reports, analytical data, and procedures for compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, approved test methods, and NRG environmental standards.
+ Coordinate and/or conduct quality assurance reviews of the emissions and analyzer performance data collected by the Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems and monitoring plan updates.
+ Coordinate and/or conduct quality assurance reviews of data collected by the water discharge monitoring systems and the monitoring plan updates.
+ Ability to develop expertise in various data acquisition and handling software systems; including development of data trends and other statistical analysis.
+ Support and participate in facility inspections and compliance certifications; participate in and document regulatory agency facility inspections.
+ Provide environmental consulting services to internal clients, as needed, and in accordance with NRG's Corporate Values so as to assure the long term, environmentally compliant operation of NRG owned and/or operated facilities.
**Skills:**
+ Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter, including keeping up-to-date on industry and environmental changes and developments.
+ Demonstrated working knowledge of major environmental laws and programs applicable to NRG's operating facilities in the Gulf Coast;
+ Knowledge of power plant systems and operations with an understanding of the fundamentals and key drivers of the power industry;
+ Demonstrated working knowledge of federal and state permitting requirements;
+ Demonstrated leadership and team building skills;
+ Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all individuals;

**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering is required; advanced coursework or degree in Environmental Engineering or Science is preferred;
+ 8 years of experience in the Environmental field, with power industry experience preferred.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with data acquisition and handling software (DAHS), Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS), Discharge Monitoring Reporting (DMR), Stack testing/methods, and analytical laboratory methods.
+ Intermediate to expert level capabilities in Microsoft Excel.

The Compliance Manager will work to assure product compliance with applicable North American federal and state regulations in the environmental and safety area. You will ensure that Polestar is fully knowledgeable about the future actions of Government Agencies in these areas, and you will work in close collaboration with both external counterparts and internal Polestar stakeholders. Our Quality department works to ensure the quality in Polestar products throughout the life cycle of our product and services. This role is part of our global Quality function and will be based in our North American Office in Mahwah, New Jersey. This position will require up to 10% overnight travel.

What you’ll do

• Act as Polestar’s representative in dealing with government officials and trade associations in all vehicle related regulatory/compliance matters

• Analyze future regulations and their effect on Polestar’s products

• Hold regular check-ins with HQ stakeholders to secure required product development

• Develop policies and procedures, coordinate all environment and safety defect investigations, and recall campaigns

• Arrange meetings with government agencies where necessary

• Support campaign launches and follow-up (customer communication, reporting etc)

• For future US produced cars coordinate production related requirements for global markets

• Manage product launch criteria from the certification and compliance perspectives, holding the authority to raise red flags and the responsibility to collaborate with other teams in the process

Who you are

• 10+ years of experience in a relevant position

• 7+ years of experience in the automotive regulatory environment in the US and Canada

• Broad knowledge of the inner workings (politics, networking) of the government agencies that are responsible for creating the programs that directly impact the business

• Ability to create partnerships and build relationships to resolve issues of potentially sensitive nature

• Ability to communicate, negotiate, make presentations to large groups, and act as a Polestar spokesperson

• Ability to systematically analyze and be sensitive to public issues, utilizing the information to develop strategies

• Ability to consider a broad range of internal and external factors when solving problems and exhibit sound judgment in determining responses to situations

Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Engineering, Quality & Compliance,the **Global Regulatory Compliance Manager** will oversee and manage all regulatory compliance activities related to product safety and environmental compliance across the global markets we serve. **In this role, a typical day will look like:**
+ Lead and manage the global regulatory compliance program and team, ensuring all products meet international and local safety and environmental regulations.
+ Monitor and interpret global regulatory requirements, including but not limited to product safety (e.g., UL/ETL, CE, UK CA, IEC, etc.) and environmental compliance (e.g., RoHS, REACH, WEEE, etc.).
+ Develop and implement strategies to ensure ongoing compliance with new and changing regulations in all regions where the company operates.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, product management, legal, and operations, to ensure compliance considerations are integrated into product development and sustaining engineering processes.
+ Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory filings, documentation, and certifications required for product approvals and market entry.
+ Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and lead external audits and inspections as required.
+ Manage the day-to-day activities of the internal accredited test lab.
**The essential requirements of the job include:**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or certifications in regulatory affairs is a plus.; applicable to the above stated expectations for the manufacturing of electronic and electro-mechanical products.
+ Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within the electrical and/or electro-mechanical manufacturing industry.
+ Extensive knowledge of global product safety standards and environmental regulations (e.g., CE, UL, ETL, RoHS, REACH, etc.).
+ Proven experience managing compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific regions.

The base salary range for this position is $117,400 to $161,425; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.

General Description:

We are seeking a Regulatory Compliance Manager to join our team. The Regulatory Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that program operations and processes comply with relevant laws, standards, and regulations. This role has a strong understanding of federal laws and regulations, experience managing a compliance program or function, and/or expertise in ITAR/FAR/DFARs regulations.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

• Assists with the development and implementation of the Federal Contracts and Grants Compliance Program.
• Develops a comprehensive library of applicable laws and regulations.
• Establishes a formalized regulatory compliance change management process that includes the identification of new laws and regulations, impact assessments, policy and process review, communication, implementation, and ongoing monitoring and reporting.
• Identifies, reviews, and updates compliance program policies and procedures.
• Leverages tools and technology, such as Microsoft Purview, to align privacy and data protection practices.
• Improves existing privacy and data protection controls and strategies for regulated data.
• Oversees certain program operations related to the handling and safeguarding of sensitive information and regulated data.
• Develops educational materials, training plans, and newsletter articles.
• Collaborates with various teams in monitoring identified risk areas.
• Assists with the development of compliance-related policies and procedures.
• Provides audit support for maintenance of relevant certifications.
• Prioritizes privacy and compliance projects, develops annual staff budgets, selects tools to automate and enhance manual processes, and develops staffing plans.

• Assists with identifying privacy and compliance-related training materials.

Required Skills:

• Ability to work independently with minimal direct daily supervision.
• Excellent organizational and communication (both oral and written) skills required.
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of law firm personnel, including partners and administrative managers.

Required Qualifications & Education:

• 7+ years related experience.
• Bachelors degree.

Preferred Qualifications & Education:

• Law firm experience.
• Industry standard certification such as CCEP, CIPP, or CIPT.

These ranges may not be applicable to other locations. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience. The Impact You'll Make in this Role

The person hired for the position of Dangerous Goods Transportation Regulatory Compliance Manager will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, management, coordination, and execution of the DG transportation regulatory compliance functional area and team. This position has global functional responsibilities to work with and support all business units within 3M. The Dangerous Goods Transportation Regulatory Compliance Manager will serve as the global DG business process owner to develop global policies, standards, business processes, and systems. This person will work closely with cross functional teams to ensure dangerous goods regulatory requirements are understood and solutions are developed and implemented to ensure compliance, supply chain efficiency, and sustainable interim and end-state solutions. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in DG regulatory compliance and the ability to influence and collaborate with global business stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

* Supervising activities of the Transportation Regulatory Compliance team to ensure 3M's ongoing compliance with regulations and 3M policy and procedures.
* Leading various Transportation Regulatory Compliance improvement projects and initiatives such as DG ERP solution development, readiness and deployment, DG site audit program, and developing globally harmonized business policies, standards, procedures, and processes.
* Facilitating strategic and operational planning activities and project prioritization to ensure continuous process improvement.
* Facilitating and driving DG compliance throughout the organization via various strategies such as training and awareness, global policies and standards, audits and inspection support, and outreach.
* Providing strategic direction and support for regulatory advocacy activities, regulations monitoring and impact assessment, and implementation of regulatory changes into 3M systems and processes.
* Chairing the 3M Dangerous Goods Global Council to provide leadership, direction and influence globally across the organization in matters related to dangerous goods business processes, systems, organization, resources, and compliance.
* Other duties as assigned.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
* Ten (10) years combined supply chain, regulatory, environmental health and safety, laboratory, and/or manufacturing function experience in a private, public, government or military environment
* Two (2) years of experience leading people, while managing complex product programs, projects, or initiatives
* One (1) year of experience with carrier operations for dangerous goods for all modes of transport (ground, air, ocean)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

* Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Chemistry, or Physical Sciences from an accredited institution.
* Minimum of two (2) years of experience with SAP business transformation processes.
* Demonstrated communication skills; ability to summarize and articulate technical/regulatory information to diverse audiences.
* Experience leading large, complex, global multi-function projects.
* Ability to influence change with stakeholders.
