The Office of the District Attorney, Bronx County ("BXDA") is charged with the twin goals of ensuring public safety and striving for equal justice for the over 1.4 million members of the Bronx County community. By "Pursuing Justice with Integrity," the BXDA places a focus on assistance for crime victims while simultaneously ensuring fairness to defendants. Moreover, the BXDA aims to balance the need to seek appropriate punishment for certain crimes while recognizing when punitive measures do not adequately advance justice. In furtherance of this mission, the BXDA seeks experienced and enthusiastic Forensic Analyst.
The Forensic Science Unit oversees all cases with forensic science evidence including DNA, fingerprints and ballistics. Additionally, the FSU coordinates cold case homicide and sexual assault investigations. The Forensic Analyst is responsible for providing the FSU with investigative and analytical support for cold case homicide and sexual assault investigations, and supporting the Office in gathering forensic evidence reports.
Job Responsibilities:
Specific duties includes but not limited to the following:
-Assist NYPD Cold Case detectives in identifying unsolved homicide and sexual assault cases with forensic evidence.
- Maintain a database of unsolved homicide and sexual assault case files.
- Assemble unsolved homicide and sexual assault case files
- Collaborate with the BXDA Forensic Science Unit, NYPD and OCME to identify and submit evidence for forensic testing.
- Assist with investigative genealogy investigations.
- Liaison to the NYPD Laboratory for all narcotics, ballistics and other laboratory sections.
- Order and provide laboratory reports narcotics, ballistics, and other laboratory sections.
- Other duties as assigned to support the Strategic Enforcement and Intergovernmental Relations Division.
- Newly hired employees may be eligible for a hybrid remote work schedule after a 6-12 month probationary period.
- All other duties as assigned.

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Forensics Analyst to support a large federal client. In this critical role, you will be responsible for identifying, investigating, and responding to security incidents across the organization. Your primary role will be to support the incident response mission by collecting and analyzing forensic artifacts. When forensic analyst is not needed this role will work as a Tier 2 analyst and support the incident response team.

Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end cyber investigations, from detection and triage through forensic analysis and incident closure.
- Perform advanced forensic acquisition and analysis on endpoints, servers, mobile devices, and cloud platforms.
- Act as a subject matter expert for forensic analysis, providing mentorship and guidance to junior incident response analysts.
- Investigate malware, ransomware, insider threats, and nation-state intrusions, correlating host and network evidence to reconstruct timelines.
- Maintain chain of custody and ensure forensic findings meet federal, legal, and evidentiary standards.
- Conduct Tier 2/3 SOC analysis, investigating escalated alerts, false positive reduction, and correlation of SIEM/EDR/IDS/IPS logs.

The Cyber Crime Bureau (CCB) has an immediate opening for a Digital Forensic Analyst in its High-Tech Analysis Unit (HTAU). CCB is committed to protecting the public by combating sophisticated cybercrime schemes in Manhattan and worldwide. HTAU Analysts conduct digital forensic examinations of devices on criminal cases across the District Attorney's Office - from cryptocurrency and SIM-swapping to sex trafficking, robbery, and homicide cases. In this position, the Digital Forensic Analyst is responsible for providing highly sophisticated technical forensic analytical support to any criminal investigation and prosecution conducted by the Bureau and the office at large.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Perform case intake duties.
-Prepare new case files and chain of custody documentation; label evidence received by laboratory.
-Perform data entry functions by logging evidence into the unit's case tracking system.

Cybersecurity Forensic Analyst, under limited supervision, conducts forensic analysis, data recover, eDiscovery and other investigative work. Work You'll Do
Cryptocurrency investigators or tracers who will analyze blockchain transactions to identify leads or investigative actionable intel for law enforcement. - Apply knowledge of procedures and techniques used in cryptocurrency investigations- Conduct cryptocurrency analysis supporting Federal investigations and prosecutions by using criminal investigative tools such as chain analysis, TRM, and Elementus- Apply knowledge to the enforcement of Title 18, Title 31, and other applicable statutes of the Federal Criminal Code, and the seizure and forfeiture of illegally derived property- Conduct research and analysis using open source information, national and international databases, and corporate record filings to match investigative findings and summarize data into a finished professional product
The Team
Our Forensic, Discovery, & Financial Crime offering provides services to support anti-money laundering, discovery, business disputes and investigations. Protect brands from financial crime and other corporate misconduct, as well as enable government organizations with tradecraft & technology to combat emerging and evolving threats.
Required Qualifications
+ 4+ years of total law enforcement investigations experience
+ 1+ years of experience supporting law enforcement with cryptocurrency investigations
+ 6+ months experience with at least one of the following blockchain intelligence tools (chainalysis, TRM labs, Elliptic)
+ Bachelors degree
+ Must be eligible for High Risk Public Trust clearance
+ Ability to report in person to client site 5 days per week
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
