**Forklift Operator - North Houston**
The Forklift Operator is responsible for loading, unloading, staging, pulling and distributing pallets of Keurig Dr Pepper product supplies while meeting productivity requirements.
**Shift and Schedule:**
+ Full-time
+ Monday - Friday
+ 10:00 PM- finished
+ Flexibility to work overtime and weekend as needed is required
**Position Responsibilities**
+ Load and unload trucks.
+ Lift, carry, pick, and stack materials.
+ Supply production line with empty containers.
+ Remove full product from palletizer to staging area.
+ Supply packaging material, cartons and hulls to line as needed.
+ Spot trailers as directed.
+ Maintain pallet supply for palletizer.
+ Rotate floor stock by moving oldest product first.
+ Perform general housekeeping duties in the warehouse or production area and duties as assigned.
+ Available to work all shifts, weekends and overtime.
**Total Rewards:**
+ Pay starting at $21.42 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $22.52 per hour in the quarter after their 6 month anniversary.

What You Will Do
Some core responsibilities for a Forklift Operator include:
- Operate an extended reach forklift to transport materials within the jobsite
- Transport pallets, boxes, pipe, any other large objects etc. within the jobsite
- Interpret hand signals to determine where materials should be placed
- Unloading materials shipments when they arrive at the jobsite and stage in designated areas
We expect all field employees to:
- Actively participate in a strong safety culture
- Recognize safety hazards and risks
- Participate in onsite safety meetings
- Follow OPD and client safety policies and procedures
- Be aware of changing conditions on an active jobsite
- Be on time to the jobsite each day ready for work

Some physical demands of being a Forklift Operator include:
- Capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions including extreme heat and humidity, extreme cold, and high elevations
- Lifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs
- Standing for extended periods of time up to 12 hours per day.
- Moving the entire body. Considerable use of arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending on a regular basis
- Must have good hand-eye coordination
- Use hands to handle, control, and feel objects and/or tools
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- At least 1.5 years of experience as a forklift operator
- Travel is a must with extended periods away from home in remote areas at times
- Must be able and willing to attend mandatory safety meetings
- Must be able and willing to work in a team environment
- Must be able to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week
- Must be able to meet basic physical requirements
What Will Put You Ahead
- Three years of experience as a forklift operator
- Proficient in driving other large equipment such as skid steer, tractor, track hoe, back hoe, or excavator.
- Previous experience in oil and gas construction

This is an Operations position responsible for stocking received merchandise in the appropriate location, operating and maintaining equipment associated with warehouse activity and performing other related duties as required.
**Essential Skills and Knowledge**
+ Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.

**Essential Duties** **:**
+ Operates electric forklift, which requires moving levers and pressing pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus in the cooler, freezer, and dry spaces.
+ Unloads/loads pallets of products using pallet jacks and forklifts.
+ Stores and removes pallets of products from rack locations.
+ Puts product in overflow locations.
+ Hand stacks product onto/off of pallets and into packing locations as required.
+ Maintains a clean work environment by performing duties of sweeping, ice removal, scrubbing with rags and brushes, and removing trash as required.
+ Transfers any leftover items to the Home slot at the end of the shift.
+ Cleans up aisles and pick up leftover pallets at the end of the shift.
+ Performs duties of order selector as needed.
**Minimum Requirements** **:**
+ Age 18+ High school diploma/GED or 6 months related warehouse experience or training
+ 6 months of warehouse distribution experience
+ Ability to work nights
