Job Description
This hourly position is pivotal in managing full-cycle inventory control, encompassing the receipt of raw materials, cycle counts, production review, and maintenance of bills of materials.
Responsibilities
+ Understand and adhere to all standards, food safety policies, and procedures.
+ Assist the Warehouse Manager with the daily inventory of all products.
+ Review and evaluate internal controls relating to inventory, identifying weaknesses and implementing corrective actions.
+ Coordinate cycle counts, including reconciliation and adjustment processing, and analyze cycle-counting results.
+ Interface with the Purchasing Department to manage inventory control effectively.
+ Investigate production problems, analyze root causes, and provide inventory-based solutions.
+ Monitor inventory levels and highlight any 'out of stock' or 'overstocked' conditions.
+ Ensure the accuracy of the inventory and log numbers.
+ Document and maintain inventory control procedures.
+ Collaborate with production, quality, receiving, and purchasing departments to resolve issues and enhance operations.
+ Review processed production and receipt records for accuracy, resolving discrepancies promptly.
+ Notify the Quality Manager of materials nearing the end of their shelf life.
+ Request daily cycle counts and manage two physical inventories annually.
+ Create and maintain bills of materials with input from quality and purchasing managers.
+ Complete all necessary inventory control reports.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ Experience in inventory control, cycle counts, and inventory management.
+ Proficiency in data entry and ERP systems.
+ High school diploma or GED equivalent.
+ 5+ years' experience in inventory-based ERP systems or cycle counting within manufacturing.
+ Knowledge of handling outgoing finished goods and incoming raw materials.
+ Proficiency with PC operating systems and office support software, including MS Office, Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
