The Litigation Support Team at Leidos currently supporting the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) in Los Angeles, CA has an opening for a **Paralegal** to work in a downtown **Los Angeles, CA DOJ** office performing Paralegal duties. Typical assignments may include the following but not limited to:
+ Works under the direction of Supervisory Paralegal, Project Supervisor or Direct Report.
+ Performs tasks while complying with established procedures
+ Compiles, prepares, and summarizes relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery and in preparation of motions, briefs and other legal documents;
+ Summarizes depositions and other transcripts; maintains case files; performs simple legal research; indexes, tracks and controls document discovery (including documents produced and received in discovery);
+ Indexes, tracks and exhibits and other materials at depositions and at trial.
+ Prepares exhibit cross-references.
+ Assists attorneys in courtroom.
+ Reviews documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria. Other examples of the types of work to be performed include compilation of documents for FOIA, production requests, Congressional inquiries, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
+ **Requires paralegal certificate, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study.**
+ At least one year of litigation paralegal experience or project experience required.
+ Must have basic legal knowledge, including knowledge of standard legal citation to cite check legal motions and memorandum.
+ Must have sufficient experience with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw to perform basic legal research.
+ Thorough knowledge and hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems.
+ Basic familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
+ Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience working in a Government and/or Litigation Support environment in conjunction with basic qualifications, valued.
+ Trial experience very helpful.
+ Experience with Relativity or similar applications.
+ Automated litigation support experience.
+ Current or active clearance.

+ **The Opportunity:** CACI is seeking a **Litigation Support Trainer,** this person will conduct in-person and remote trainings for government and contractor staff of key litigation support software, to include: Relativity, Trial Director, and proprietary project management applications. In coordination with project manager, develops training curriculum and assists users with using Relativity features. Must be willing to take initiative and perform under limited supervision. **Responsibilities:**
+ Usually reports to Application Manager or Project Manager.
+ Responsible for help desk and on-site support to end users of DOJ automated litigation support applications and related questions.
+ Assists in setting up and operating end-user support program for major applications in support of specific projects.
+ Sets up overall user training programs, particularly for complex applications and workflows which require active on-going training and support to ensure that they are being used effectively, but also for litigation support and office automation applications.
+ Sets up facilities and procedures to ensure responsive support.
+ Organizes, prepares, schedules and conducts training sessions as part of the training team.

The key responsibilities for this position include:
  • Assisting in the investigation of accounting anomalies and addressing allegations of fraud, misconduct, waste, abuse, and non-compliance
  • Applying accounting and financial principles to analyze large datasets of financial records, transactions, and documents
  • Preparing analytical analyses and reports summarizing key findings for litigation and expert support
  • Communicating complex topics clearly and professionally, both in writing and orally, with clients, attorneys, and team members
  • Upholding the highest degree of professional standards and maintaining strict client confidentiality
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience (audit experience preferred).
  • CPA certification or significant progress toward certification.
  • Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate governance, and regulatory environments.
  • Strong financial analysis, investigative, and data analysis skills, including working with voluminous transactional data.
  • Rigorous organizational skills and attention to detail in all facets of work.
  • Excellent writing skills for the preparation of client reports.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Full ownership of meeting deadlines, including working necessary hours to meet expectations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
