Northrop Grumman is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to maintain and enhance Linux Systems and Infrastructure in support of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. NASIC is responsible for creating all-source intelligence defining the present and future air, air defense, cyber, space and ballistic missile threats to enable military operations, force modernization, and policy making.
Summary of Responsibility
You will be an active part of a team of System, Network, and Storage Administrators who collaborate to support a large development infrastructure that replicates a wide variety of customer environments to include Linux and Windows. The team manages the hardware, software, network, security, and end user support for a wide range of tools and infrastructure. This environment includes ever growing opportunities with modernization such as Cloud technologies and DevOps CI/CD pipelines. You will be primarily focused on Linux Systems Administration and be prepared for supporting a production environment on site at NASIC/WPAFB once properly cleared to support mission critical needs.
Basic Qualifications for a Systems Administrator:

JOB SUMMARY:
The Linux Systems Engineer will have expert level experience in configuration and operational support of RHEL servers in an AWS EC2 environment and will help contribute to an integrated team environment with other systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop solutions that includes a background in all aspects of the systems engineering in a cloud environment. You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. Responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems; especially multi-user computer systems in a cloud environment.

- Configuration and operational support of RHEL servers in an AWS EC2 environment
- Install Linux and Windows servers in a virtualized environment, troubleshoot hardware/software installation and basic networking issues

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. Position Description: This position supports Linux administration Sustainment under ASRC Federal's CECOM SETA Support within the PEO EIS MSP. The PEO EIS MSP ensures that the U.S. Army's Linux/ systems are secure, reliable, and capable of supporting mission-critical operations. As a Software Engineer Senior II, you will contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of these systems, ensuring their optimal performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline is required
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Linux system administrator.
- Experience in participating in the development of test strategies, devices, and systems, and solving engineering problems (or managing the solution of engineering problems) in the functional area to which assigned.
- Certifications: DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II and applicable DoD 8570.01-M Computing Environment certification.
- Secret security clearance.
- Proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 administration.
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat Pacemaker clusters.
- Experience operating RHEL servers in AWS cloud environments.
- Strong scripting skills (Shell, Bash, Python, or similar).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Linux or other applicable Technical Certification.
- Knowledge of DoD security requirements and compliance (STIG/ACAS).
- Knowledge of ERP SAP environments.

The likely salary range for this position is $133,369 - $180,441. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
