Join our dynamic team at the Windsor Production facility, where we're looking to welcome new Production Team Members for a 12-hour evening/day shifts. This role offers the unique chance to collaborate in the creation of wind turbine blades, crafting them from fiberglass and other materials. You'll play a pivotal role in energizing homes across the US by bringing these monumental products to life.
The Blades Factory in Windsor produces blades for the new V163-4.5 MW turbine as well as the 2 MW platform in our 666,000 square feet of building space on 161 acres of land. The components manufactured at our Windsor factory are used primarily in Turbines in North America, as well as being exported to Mexico, Urguay, Brazil, and Europe.
**What does a Production Team Member do?**
+ Efficiently operates manufacturing equipment with a strong commitment to safety protocols
+ Adheres to Process Work Instructions and engages in manual production processing to accurately fit and assemble components, such as bolts, screws, shafts, or bearings into a complete assembly.
+ Exceed our production benchmarks by completing specific tasks within the designated timeframe, playing a key role in the collective success of our team objectives.
+ Lift, position, and/or remove material from work areas.
+ Load, stack and transport materials by hand, truck, crane or jib
+ Read and comprehend Work Process Instructions and translate that into the ability to perform the tasks.
+ As well as any ad hoc duties that may be assigned.
***Please be aware that our work environment involves the use of latex, epoxy, and fiberglass, including fiberglass dust***
**What skills/abilities must I have to qualify?**
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
+ Two years of experience of either Manufacturing, Trade Labor, Craning, or Fabrication experience is required
+ Must be able to communicate effectively in English, including reading, writing, and speaking
+ Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
+ Basic system skills-Microsoft office, SAP and Apriso preferred.
+ Must pass confined spaces test as required.
+ Must be able to pass a respiratory fit test as required.

Vestas is the energy industry's global partner on sustainable energy solutions. We design, manufacture, install and service wind turbines. Since 2010, the Nacelles Factory in Brighton proudly manufactures nacelles (an engine) and hubs for wind turbines in 265,000 square feet of building space.
Join our production team and play a crucial role in the assembly of Nacelles. In this position, you will be tasked with assembling fabricated parts at designated floor stations. Utilize your skills in handling mechanical components and employ a variety of pneumatic hand tools and power tools to construct high-quality nacelle units efficiently.
+ **Day Shift:** Monday - Thursday 5:00am to 3:30pm. Overtime hours may be available on Fridays.
+ **Night Shift:** Monday - Thursday 5pm - 3:30am with a $3/hour differential for pay.
**What does a Nacelle Assembly Technician do?**
+ Efficiently assemble components utilizing both hand and power tools.
+ Operate manufacturing equipment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
+ Adhere to Process Work Instructions and manual production processes, ensuring parts fit and are assembled correctly, including but not limited to bolts, screws, shafts, and bearings.
+ Achieve production standards for various tasks within the allotted time frame.
+ Handle materials by lifting, positioning, and/or removing them from the work area as needed.
+ Manage materials using a bridge crane for loading, stacking, and transportation purposes.
+ Interpret schematics to accurately assemble machine components.
+ Collaborate with fellow assemblers to construct the final product.
+ Test and inspect components to ensure they meet our standards of uniformity and quality.

**What are we looking for in an Assembly Technician?**
+ 1+ years of previous Manufacturing experience is required
+ Required previous experience with standard power and hand tools, including a torque wrench

+ High school diploma or GED or equivalent is required.

General Plant Worker $1.42/hr
Blender, Machine Operator, Batch set up, Full/Part bag operator 22.32/hr
Utility 22.71/hr
+ Regularly handle objects weighing up to 50+ lbs in a frequent basis.
+ Responsible for machine start up, shut down and changeover procedures. Verify that screens on sifters are in good condition and are appropriate for the product that is running.
+ Check that the mixer is set according to manufacturing order specifications and taking corrective action when product varies from quality standards.
+ Check the manufacturing order (MO) and confirm the correct ingredients are being used.
+ Dump ingredients into bag dump station or other specified area.
+ Record all raw materials neatly and accurately on the manufacturing order (MO).
+ Communicate effectively with other departments, and work within a team environment.
+ Able to use simple work hand tools. Perform a wide variety of miscellaneous duties which may include: sweeping, clean-up, removing garbage, taking samples and etc. Participate in safety programs such as; safety orientation, safety committee, ergonomic committee, monthly regulatory safety trainings and Eye for safety program.
+ Follow all Kerry safety, environmental and regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines. May perform any other duties assigned by leadership. Required to maintain adequate performance levels as directed. Must be punctual and attend scheduled hours as instructed.
Qualifications and skills
+ EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEHigh School diploma or GED required. 1 to 3 years related experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred, or any manufacturing industry required.
+ LANGUAGE SKILLSAble to communicate in English to understanding the job terminology. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and manufacturing orders. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
