**Key Responsibilities:**
- Contribute to defining and ensuring security requirements are met based on BofA standards and Policies.
- Incorporates basic architecture components including threat-models, diagrams, and technological requirements for in solution development.
- Understand and utilize basic network, virtualization, and datacenter technologies for deployment strategies.
- Work across technology teams to understand and aid in the delivery of system requirements.
- Build and improve processes supporting system transformation, structures, quality controls, dependency, and workload management.
- Perform/Implement existing test suites (integration, regression, and performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause.
- Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality.
- Adhere to team delivery/release process and cadence pertaining to solution deployment and release.
- Identify gaps in environment management standards adherence and work with appropriate partners to develop plans to close gaps.
**Required Qualifications:**
- 10+ years of experience in technology, preferably in network/infrastructure
- 5+ years of experience in Network Security
- 5+ years of experience in managing teams
- Expertise in Network design for hybrid cloud implementations and experience with various network security tools
- Experience in deploying large-scale, global projects and programs
- Familiarity with IT security and risk management practices
- Leadership skills and qualities which enable you to work with peers and various levels of management
- Effective communication skills and motivation/willingness to learn

Position Summary
The Sr. Network Security Engineer is an experienced technical resource responsible for developing and implementing end-to-end solutions to complex business networking and communications problems for new and existing clients. This individual will work with the Project Management Office to staff project-based network implementation work, as well as respond to implementation requests, T&M or managed service work. Duties and Responsibilities

Post-Sales Implementation and Operational Work

• Provide assistance to team members with project execution;

Risk Management

• Escalate issues to the Project Management Office and Director, Network/Security Services before they jeopardize the success or financial viability of an engagement;
• Participate in quarterly meetings with the Infrastructure team to discuss recent engagements, challenges and opportunities; incorporate improvements into the pre-sales process.

Communications

• Manage cross-functional inter-dependencies;
• Responsible for clear and timely communication to multiple stakeholder groups;
• Responsible for communicating the details of an opportunity / engagement to both the business and technical teams.

Miscellaneous

• Participate with the Project Management Office in project postmortems and collaborate on recommendations reports in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements;

Qualifications and Requirements

• 10+ years experience as a Network/Security Engineer;
• Bachelor's degree in a business or IT-related field is preferred but not required;
• CCIE Cisco certification;
• PCNSE;
• Experience with wireless technologies;

In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network security infrastructure to protect company assets and data. You will focus on threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and ensuring compliance with security policies and industry standards. Key responsibilities include configuring and managing firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDPS), VPNs, and other security technologies. You will conduct regular security audits, penetration testing, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities. The Senior Network Security Engineer will also play a vital role in developing and documenting security procedures, responding to security incidents, and providing expert guidance on security best practices. This position requires a deep understanding of networking protocols, security principles, and a proactive approach to cybersecurity. You will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive security coverage across the organization in this fully remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and web application firewalls.
• Monitor network traffic for security threats and anomalies, and respond to security incidents promptly.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
• Manage and maintain security hardware and software, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning optimally.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure network configurations and system deployments.
• Provide expert advice on network security best practices and emerging threats.
• Develop and deliver security awareness training to employees.
• Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network security engineering.
• Proven experience with security technologies such as firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint security solutions.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network architecture.
• Experience with cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCIE Security, or GIAC are highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
