SUMMARY:
Works with the Director of Marketing to acquire, grow, and retain VIP customers to Chamonix Casino. Extensive hands-on community outreach in defined markets and active participation with existing customers. Position is a combination of marketing, sales, and casino host roles with the goal of continuously acquiring new players, improving the gaming experience for players, and developing players into loyal and long-standing customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A) ACQUISITION:
- Recruits new members for Chamonix’s Casino MVP (Most Valuable Players) club.
- Engages in outside sales activities such as conventions, shows, community events, and trade associations as needed and required.
- Calls on businesses in market areas, including but not limited to Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Ca ñ on City, to encourage group and employee outings and/or provide customized coupons for employees.
- Contact non-profit groups to set up fundraising bus trips for their organizations.
B) ETENTION:
- Responsible for cultivating and building player relationships for an enhanced experience.
- Responds promptly, pleasantly, and accurately to questions from VIP guests. Ensures all VIP guests receive the best possible service available.
- Assists with marketing promotions, including participating in developing concepts, writing promotion rules, and coordinating participation on the day of the promotions. Assists with coordinating regularly scheduled promotions, such as the monthly birthday party.
- Expedite details of player visits by making sure players have a card to play with, issuing promotional gifts, and/or arranging player reservations at a hotel or restaurant, as necessary.
- One-on-one interaction with customers to enhance the casino experience. Make personal calls for special occasions and events. Coordinate player communication, such as get-well cards, sending flowers, and gifts.
- Listens thoroughly to customer complaints, concerns, and suggestions and takes appropriate action.
- Provides leadership, promotes teamwork, and a positive attitude for co-workers to ensure an excellent customer service experience.
C) G OWTH & DEVELOPMENT:
- Designs and implements growth strategies, events, and promotions. Hosts VIP events, both on-site and off-site. Assists with “Welcome Back” mailings and follow-up on new action players.
- Encourages guests to participate in slot club membership and gaming events. Evaluates and issues comps to customers. Surveys customers’ likes, dislikes, and maintains information on their accounts.
- Analyze the database to identify players who may want to reactivate their participation. Develops reactivation strategies through direct mail, telemarketing, and special offers
- Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
- Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities and a general awareness of casino operations at all times. Keeps their supervisor informed of any concerns. Ensures customers are 21+ years of age.
- Performs all duties in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, internal policies and procedures, and Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations.
- Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
- Wears and maintains all uniforms properly, including nametag and Gaming License.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated knowledge of casino operations and gaming rules, and regulations.
- Demonstrated effective and diplomatic customer service and communication skills, including experience persuading and negotiating.
- Demonstrated knowledge in developing positive contacts with guests and employees.
- Ability to use good judgment in decision-making situations.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in experience or education.
- One (1) or more years of recent and related experience marketing casino games, preferably slot machines or player’s club operations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- A Colorado Limited Gaming Support License is required.
