Status: Contingent Upon Contract Award
Knowesis is seeking multiple Desktop Publishers to support the TRICARE health plan. The Desktop Publishers will work with a team of professionals to provide desktop publishing support services to ensure the integrity of the TRICARE Manuals, specialty manuals, and the associated links on the TRICARE Manuals website in addition to support for the TRICARE version of Title 32 to the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 199 (32 CFR 199) which establishes the authority of the TRICARE Program.
To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess U.S. Citizenship without the need for sponsorship, both now and in the future. Applicants without proof of U.S. Citizenship will not be considered due to the positions security clearance requirements.
The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Create, maintain, publish, and support TRICARE Manuals and other TRICARE documentation on different mediums/platforms (i.e., hard copy, web, CD).
- Create presentations, certificates, forms, posters, flyers, etc., as requested, and design document templates, building on past templates for improvement, including designing for compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
- Create and maintain the master files for the TRICARE Manuals using Adobe FrameMaker.
- Maintain the cross-reference links between the master files.
- Ensure Adobe FrameMaker documents are correctly tagged. Any changes to the format or tags are to be discussed with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) before being made.
- Convert the master files from one Adobe FrameMaker release to the next as the Government directs.
- Make changes to the TRICARE Manuals' master files by consistently applying Adobe FrameMaker templates, paragraph tags, and character tags tightly constrained by the TRICARE Manuals publishing utilities and the Government.
- Create draft change packages for review by authors and the community with short deadlines
- Maintain the TRICARE Manuals using acceptable configuration and change management processes.
- Maintain the TRICARE Manuals' archives using the Polytron Version Control System (PVCS) for Adobe FrameMaker source and Acrobat PDF files.
- Publish the TRICARE manuals using detailed processes and procedures in a repeatable manner.
- Read and edit XML for data file maintenance.
- Publish changes to the TRICARE Manuals using the TRICARE manuals publishing formats, processes, and utilities.
- Auto-generate incorporated changes across all four manuals.
- Document the publishing processes and procedures, including detailed execution documentation, checklist of steps executed, success or failure of steps, validation of logs generated, and quality testing.
- Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure all proposed changes are made before submitting changes to the Manual Change Team.
- Perform quality testing on all content before production release.
- Maintain the TRICARE Manuals search indexes using dtSearch.
- Provide transmittal sheets and all final drafts electronically.
- Converted PDF documents are properly formatted in Microsoft Word documents
- 5-10 years proven work experience as a Desktop Publishing Specialist or similar role.
- Associates degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field. A higher degree would be considered a plus.
- Proficiency in developing manuals using Adobe desktop publishing products such as Adobe FrameMaker, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator; 508 Compliance Required
- Experience developing visual content for the Defense Health Agency (DHA) or Veterans Health Agency (VHA)

THE ROLE
The Platform Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous optimization of the company's publisher platform. This position is responsible for monitoring publisher performance, troubleshooting technical issues, implementing product updates, managing data, and collaborating with product and development teams to enhance platform functionality. Additionally, the specialist works closely with the sales and client success teams to onboard new clients, provide top-tier technical support, and help maximize monetization opportunities for scaled and super-scaled accounts.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Continuously track platform health metrics and proactively address potential issues before they impact performance.

**The opportunity**
A Clinical Publisher in Global Regulatory Medical Writing (GRMW) Operations provides basic support to GRMW (and other departments as appropriate) in the production of submission-ready clinical research documentation in support of drug development, product registrations, and product marketing.
