Qualifications

EDUCATION

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. All newly hired registered nurses must have current BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire.

EXPERIENCE

Registered Nurse is the foundational job description for all RNs. All RNs are encouraged to advance through the SPIRE clinical advancement program.

LICENSURE

Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut. Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged.

  • Perform initial, recertification surveys and complaint investigations of health facilities establishing, monitoring and enforcing quality standards to assure the safety and wellbeing of residents/patients/clients, and to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
How does it get done?

Senior Registered Nurse/Registered Nurse Surveyor is responsible for:

  • Determining if patients' needs are met after observation of treatments (e.g. intravenous therapy, tube feedings, wound dressing changes) and observation of the care provided by a variety of treatment settings;

Working Conditions
