We are looking for driven individuals with an interest in tech and finance to join Turn/Rivers growing Investment & Sourcing Team. Deal identification and sourcing is an increasingly important function as we look for strategic investment opportunities. After building a strong foundation in sourcing, for exceptional individuals there is an opportunity to grow into partner-track investing or operating roles.
As an investor, Turn/River provides strategic operational expertise and executional support to our portfolio investments. Many of our team members come from operational backgrounds and focus on various aspects of digital marketing, sales, and account management in our portfolio companies. In this role, you will be expected to exercise strategic insight to identify and qualify B2B software businesses based on their financial profiles, as well as by the potential operational improvements we can execute as a firm with our proprietary go-to-market playbooks. Youll speak directly with CEOs of software companies, learning how to grow software companies with modern strategies.
Successful candidates will often have experience in finance, B2B software businesses, and/or business development. Finance experience isnt a prerequisite - rather were looking for a strong interest and passion for investing. Ideal candidates will take pride in sharing the Turn/River experience with prospective companies and presenting these findings to our senior investment team. They will have high energy, provide thoughtful insights, excel in prioritization, and take creative approaches to identifying and getting in front of top prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and define market opportunities and verticals that are interesting to Turn/River
- Engage with interesting companies and their CEOs that fit our target investment profile and get them excited about the Turn/River brand
- Qualify companies through conversations and various operational and financial metrics, then present these findings to our broader investment team
- Partner with investment professionals to deploy capital and execute transactions
- Actively build and carry out sourcing processes, technologies, and positioning by A/B testing various marketing, sales, and growth best practices
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree from a competitive program, with demonstrated strong academic performance (Class of 2026)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Avid self-learner
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously with extreme attention to detail
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Passionate about investing, data, technology, and relationship development
- Experience in B2B software, finance, and proficiency with sales tools a plus
Location

Compensation
- The annual base salary range for this role is $40,000- 150,000, taking into account numerous variable factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational requirements.

Job Description: We are currently seeking a candidate to fill the position of Investment Analyst in our Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have the analytical skills to accurately underwrite prospective multifamily investments throughout the Los Angeles-Ventura-San Diego-Orange County-Inland Empire markets, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Create and prepare valuations for potential acquisitions utilizing Microsoft Excel, using our internal models to incorporate market data and property operating history into each valuation
- Research and analyze numerous submarkets, both from the desk and "in the field," to gain intimate knowledge of targeted opportunities
- Track rent, sales, and new development activities in each of the submarkets
- Conduct and coordinate due diligence activities involving the audit of leases and financial operations, analysis of market competitors, synthesis of third-party reports, assessment of physical deficiencies, and renovation opportunities

- Participate in various analytical projects as required in the Investments Department
