Required:
* Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
* Proven experience managing teams and projects in a technical or laboratory environment.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in technical report writing and data analysis.
Preferred:
* Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire testing or fire safety engineering.
* In-depth knowledge of fire testing standards and protocols.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CFPS, NICET).
* Experience with laboratory accreditation processes (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025).
* Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor and data acquisition systems.

Location & Commitments
* Permanent full-time roll based in Trussville, AL.
* Overtime may be required to ensure client projects are completed and delivered on time.
* Weekend work is rare but can occasionally be necessary.

TxDOT requires the services of QA/Test Manager Level hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general qualification of QA/Test Manager Level 2 and the specifications outlined in this document.
The QA/Test Manager Level 2 will lead the testing team in applying a consistent methodology and testing scripts for testing applications. The role involves quality and test advocacy, resource planning and management, and resolution of issues that impede the testing effort.
The workers' responsibilities and skills must include:

4+ Leading a testing team delivering software across multiple platforms

Your role

Define, develop, and document the overall integration test strategy, approach, and test plans for SAP projects, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.

Lead the end-to-end SAP integration testing process, including test preparation, execution, defect management, and reporting. Ensure that all testing efforts are delivered on time, within scope, and to the desired quality standards.

Serve as the primary point of contact for all integration testing matters, facilitating communication between business analysts, SAP functional/technical teams, third-party vendors, and business users.

Build, manage, and mentor a team of test analysts and engineers, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing guidance to ensure high performance and professional growth.

Estimate, secure, and allocate necessary resources (people, environments, tools) to support test execution and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve resource-related issues

Oversee the creation, review, and maintenance of detailed test scenarios, use cases, and scripts that validate end-to-end SAP integrations and interfaces.

Manage the defect lifecycle, from identification through resolution, ensuring timely triage, assignment, and closure of issues. Track and report defect metrics, trends, and root causes

Establish and enforce testing best practices, methodologies, and standards to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable SAP integrations.

Provide regular status updates, dashboards, and test summary reports to project leadership and stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, issues, and quality metrics

Proactively recommend and implement process improvements, test automation strategies, and innovative solutions to enhance overall integration testing efficiency and effectiveness
Your skills and experience

Minimum of 7 years of experience in test management, with at least 3 years in SAP projects, preferably focused on integration testing (SAP ECC, S/4HANA, PI/PO, Cloud Integration, etc.).

Comprehensive understanding of SAP architecture, integration points, and related technologies (IDocs, BAPIs, APIs, EDI, middleware tools).

Proven track record in leading large-scale integration test efforts across multiple SAP modules and third-party applications.

Strong expertise in test management tools (e.g., HP ALM, JIRA, Solution Manager, Tricentis Tosca, and Xray) and test automation frameworks.
-
Experience with Xray for test management is required.

Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and the ability to adapt test strategies accordingly.

Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.

Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
