As a Transportation Engineer at Sebago, you will :
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and construction drawings using industry standard guidelines
- Develop design plans for geometrics of roadways and intersections, closed and open drainage systems, pavement design, pavement markings and signage, and multimodal facilities
- Development of conceptual plans and feasibility analysis
- Prepare contract specifications and cost estimates
- Oversee construction administration efforts for projects, and
- Provide technical mentoring of project staff.

The Lexington, KY office is looking for a Transportation Engineer to join our team. **Overview**
**Be part of the nation's only repository for the disposal of nuclear waste known as Transuranic (TRU) waste.**
Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO), managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as a **_Transportation Engineer_** and join our team located in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
**Responsibilities**
The successful candidate will perform technical duties in preparation of hazardous material, hazardous waste, and radioactive material shipments and receipts, assuming responsibility for the accuracy of results and regulatory compliance. Prepare routine technical reports and presentations as needed. Collect, enter, and report transportation information and shipment data as needed. Perform shipment documentation reviews, log keeping, and file maintenance. Initiate corrective action, under directions, for shipment discrepancies. Cross-train for related positions to ensure transportation staff positions can be staffed daily.

+ Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with five (5) years of related experience, or
+ Associate's degree with nine (9) years of related experience, or
+ High School Diploma or Equivalency with thirteen (13) years of related experience is required.
+ Must have two (2) years of experience working with hazardous and radiological materials.
+ Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

**Preferred Requirements**
+ Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier and Hazardous Materials Shipping Regulations is preferred.
+ RCRA Hazardous Waste Management experience is desired.
+ Experience with procedure writing/reviews is beneficial.
+ Previous WIPP Project or CCP experience is a plus.
