Pay Range :
$15.00$18.00 per hour (Based on experience )
Work Schedule : Full-time (40 hours/week); potential weekend shifts after training (overtime paid per FLSA for hours >40/week )

About the Role
Were hiring a multi-tasking Warehouse Associate to split time between receiving/shipping operations and returns processing & repairs. This role requires flexibility to work weekends after initial training and is ideal for candidates with OSHA-compliant forklift certification who thrive in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities (50/50 Split)
- Receive & Store Inventory : Unload incoming shipments using forklifts/pallet jacks, verify quantities, label items, and organize stock in designated zones.
- Pick, Pack & Ship Orders : Use RF scanners to locate items, package orders securely, and load outgoing trucks while updating shipment status in real-time via WMS.
- Process Returns : Open returned packages, inspect for damage/missing parts, and sort items into "restock," "repair," or "dispose" categories per company return policy.
- Perform Basic Repairs : Fix simple defects and test repaired items to ensure functionality (no electrical repairs beyond basic troubleshooting ).
- Maintain Accurate Records : Document inventory movements, return reasons, and repair outcomes in WMS (data accuracy per SOX compliance requirements ).
Must Have :
- Valid forklift certification (OSHA-compliant; must provide copy prior to start date)
- 1+ year of warehouse experience (both shipping/receiving AND returns processing preferred )
- Ability to lift 35 lbs repeatedly and stand for 6+ hours daily (per OSHA ergonomic guidelines )
- Basic computer skills (Excel, WMS, or similar systems)
- Flexibility to work weekend shifts after initial training period (schedule changes will follow Texas Workforce Commission notice rules )
- Bilingual (English/Chinese)
- Experience with RF scanners or handheld devices
- Prior returns repair experience (e.g., electronics, apparel)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Associate is a critical operations team member at Architectural Surfaces Group’s Regional Distribution Center (RDC). This hands-on role is responsible for safely and accurately unloading, inspecting, storing, sorting, and loading large bundles of natural stone and quartz slabs. Associates will operate forklifts (5,000–15,500 lb capacity) and overhead cranes to handle heavy materials and will use tablets, scanners, and ERP tools for processing inventory transactions.

Key Responsibilities
Material Handling
- Safely operate 5,000 lb forklifts with clamp attachments to unload inbound containers.
- Operate 15,500 lb forklifts and overhead cranes to store, move, and load bundles of stone and quartz slabs.
- Use saws, crowbars, and other power tools to remove dunnage, braces, and blocking materials during unloading.
- Secure bundles properly on outbound flatbed trucks according to company safety standards.
- Sort and stage material for customer viewing and outbound loading.
- Conduct all material handling operations with speed and efficiency, but also safely without harm or damage to self, team, or material
Inventory & Quality Control
- Scan materials using tablets and scanners to ensure ERP accuracy for inbound, outbound, and transfer transactions.
- Inspect slabs for damage, correct labeling, and dimensional accuracy during unloading and staging.
- Assist with periodic cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliations.
- Report quality issues, damages, or discrepancies to the Distribution Center Manager immediately.
Safety & Facility Maintenance
- Follow all company safety standards and SOPs including PPE usage, forklift protocols, and loading procedures. FAILURE TO FOLLOW SAFETY PROTOCOLS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by disposing of dunnage, clearing debris, and organizing equipment.
- Ensure the warehouse environment (100,000 sq. ft.) remains functional, safe, and orderly despite seasonal conditions.
Team Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with warehouse leads, inventory control staff, and drivers.
- Support new team members with onboarding or safety practices as needed.
- Contribute to a positive, team-based work culture focused on shared accountability and mutual success.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience operating forklifts and/or overhead cranes.
- Ability to safely lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs regularly.
