The Process Engineer will be responsible for design and execution of material flow, analyzing and optimizing conveyance to support kitting, warehouse flow layouts, and processes related to launch of existing facilities for all Tesla Energy products. Primary Responsibilities
- Create comprehensive labor and equipment model considering warehousing material flow and time studies data gatherings
- Fluent on Dashboard designs through SQL queries which will show the day to day Operations health and labor/ equipment utilization
- Fluent in Warehouse Management Systems and should be able to make impressive material flows leveraging the configuration changes fluency and AutoCAD 2D
- Collaborate with stakeholder teams like Warehouse Operations, IT Systems Developers, Inventory Control, Packaging Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain teams, and Material Planning to prioritize and maximize operational efficiency of the Warehouse team
- Understand systems architecture to deploy standard processes and communicate cross-functional needs
- Design and optimize material flow conveyance routes, facility layouts by analyzing bottlenecks and buffer sizes using process modeling
- Contribute to PFEP standardization and adoption of processes through the entire value stream of material flow
- Manage issue resolution and develop corrective actions for all process inefficiencies related but not limited to standard warehouse and kitting operations, etc.
- Analyze and improve material flow processes from the external network to the internal warehouses optimizing for space, cost, and inventory/service levels
- Develop business cases for improvement projects such as material handling – touch reduction, automation support etc., with a focus on workforce planning and management.
- Create documentation for training materials such as standard work, kitting sequences and standard operating procedure
Additional Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain material flow data/plans that includes capacity and efficiency of material movement. Implement systems and processes that maintain critical material warehouse master data.
- Ensure that material picking requirements are planned with the Operations team to achieve the expected shipping dates.
- Knowledge of PDCA, Continuous Improvement, Lean methodologies
- Assist with inventory control activities.
- Generate and publish metrics of performance.

- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field required
- 3+ years related experience in production control, materials management/flow, inventory control, material handling/conveyance, or project management in a manufacturing company
- Analytical capabilities including data analysis to optimize warehouse processes/operations and inventory levels
- Proficiency in creating and reading 2D layouts in AutoCAD
- Experience with SolidWorks or Catia 3D modeling is a plus

- Lead cross-functional sensor design discussions with electrical, software, supply chain, manufacturing, thermal, and mechanical teams and translate sensor design discussions into design documents in the form of system block diagrams, functional and performance requirements
- Use EDA tools to define the electrical components and their connectivity and supervise the generation of board design files through all design phases
- Work with the supply chain team to ensure components will meet performance, cost & manufacturing requirements, support early sensor prototype development to de-risk new technologies and generate/execute the test plan that includes milestones that focus on de-risking product and/or feature deployment and align with the program timeline
- Ensure the hardware meets required design criteria across a host of environments and regulations while collaborating with the reliability, test and homologation teams and work with manufacturing/test teams and suppliers to achieve high-volume mass production with high yield
- Be responsible for overall performance of the sensing system and its features at any point in the product life cycle
- Serve as the owner of a given sensing system to address any issues discovered from development through deployment
- Understand and debug hardware and software interactions from prototyping through product launch and manage priorities and support a host of projects simultaneously
- Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineeringor a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating exceptional expertise in the domain
- Fundamental knowledge of circuit design, analog analysis, sensor physics, and statistics
- Strong electrical engineering background in board-level analog and mixed-signal design
- Hands-on experience in system-level design, architecture, characterization and validation
- Prior experience in touch sensors, force sensors, pressure sensors or inertial sensors will be highly preferred
- Proven cross-functional collaboration and leadership skills
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, SPICE, or similar simulation and modeling tools
- Proficiency in data visualization and statistical analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in high-volume mass production, working with suppliers and contract manufacturers

What You'll Do
- Develop, enhance and debug software written in Go and Python for the testing ofour products in the factory and during commissioning in the field
- Design robust and exhaustive test procedures for high voltage power electronics,battery modules, thermal systems, etc.
- Design ultra-reliable, cost-effective, and time-sensitive manufacturing test processes capable of high-volume and high-quality production output
- Hands-on debugging of product test failures through analysis of CAN traces, Linuxdebug logs, using oscilloscopes, etc.
- Integration of software with test equipment on the production line
- Author product test specification of industrial energy products for optimal coverageat each step in the assembly process
- Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent, or proof of exceptionalskills in related fields, with practical engineering experience
- Experience shipping code, receiving feedback and being relentless ensuring customer experience is positive
- Experience documenting firmware design and authoring specifications
- Shows a keen understanding of physics and follows first principles in design anddevelopment
