**Position Summary**
The purpose of Associate Accountant position is to assist with general accounting of the organization including month end close and continuous process improvement.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform weekly domestic/international accounts payable payment run.
+ Assist with vendor payment relations as needed.
+ Perform all fixed and intangible asset tasks, rollforwards, and reconciliations.
+ Setup all prepaid expense schedules and reconcile related balance sheet accounts.
+ Reconcile inventory, monthly.
+ Compute and file sales and use tax.
+ Prepare other balance sheet reconciliations, including complex analysis.
+ Perform budget/forecast/actuals flux analysis on assigned P&L statements.
+ Assist with annual company domestic and foreign audits.
+ Assist with annual company domestic tax returns.
+ Assist with documentation of internal controls and process improvement.
+ Perform various other month end close responsibilities.
+ Perform and coordinate special projects as directed by management.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

+ Excellent PC skills including MS Office products (Word, Power Point, Outlook), internet and web applications/navigation.
+ Cloud-based accounting software and Automated Banking Payment Solution experience, a plus.
+ Salesforce CRM knowledge, a plus.
**Physical and Mental Demands**
+ Up to 5% travel required.
+ Work normal business hours and extended hours when necessary.
+ Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting, for prolonged periods.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. This role offers the opportunity to manage key financial functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general bookkeeping. The ideal candidate will excel in maintaining accuracy and compliance across all financial processes while contributing to administrative and HR program management.
Responsibilities:
- Handle daily and periodic invoicing, credit processing, and collections for accounts receivable, ensuring timely deposits and accurate records.
- Manage weekly and periodic accounts payable transactions, including generating payments for approval and signature.
- Oversee biweekly payroll activities, including tax withholding, reporting, remittance, and benefits administration such as insurance and 401(k) contributions.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations for credit card, checking, and other accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Process expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies, addressing any deviations or issues.
